Why are there hate comments on this amp?...This amp is revolutionary. The fact that they crammed a noise gate, boost, record out WITH cab impulse AND can play at show volumes as well as bedroom volumes is AMAZING. Ofcourse it won't sound like the 120 watt version, but I'm sorry unless you're playing stadiums, your local band has 0 need for that much volume which is actually negligible after 12 o'clock. Get with the times and actually enjoy these modern guitar marvels and get out of Van Halens ass already. Also great demo. Keep it up.
@Joel Aguirre Mike Soldano designed Soldano SLO, then Peavey made 5150 based on it now called 6505. The Invective is based on 6505 and designed with collaboration to Misha Mansoor
this guy is good, keep him doing metal stuff demo
Yeah finally someone who's not just all 80's leads or spower chords chuggy riffs
Realistically I don’t need the big one because I just need it for at home jamming and recording. But realistically I’m gonna get the big one anyway.
This dude does excellent demos. Please keep using him for modern and metal stuff! Mitch is great for classic rock gear, but I connect with this guy much more
This guy understood that this is a metal amp and needs a metal demo. Great job!
Peavy should've made a 50 or 60 watt version :( . It's hard to pick between the mini and the gigantor deluxe.
Sweetwater has already given me much to be happy about ... great products, prices and service. WOW... if I were to win this give-a-way, Sweetwater would make my dreams come true. Yes, I could only dream about this much great equipment on my budget. Gotta love Sweetwater for all the effort they and their employees provide.
This dude has no chill, straight into that Hourglass vomit riff. 0-100 real quick.
A proper demo! Thanks Taylor ROBEEEEEERTS!!
Good demo Corey taylor
Awesome Demo, one of SW's best !!!
Thanks guys. I've been jonesing for some MOOG goodness. Would make such a nice addition to my keyboard collection!!! You guys always rock. Thank you SWEETWATER.
Clean playing thanks.
Taylor is amazing!
This guy killing it in the demo and comments section.
Thumbs up for the opening riff
This guy is a freaking beast on the guitar 👍.
I would've liked to hear a sample with both the boost and the tight switch engaged, maybe with the pre-amp gain dialed back just a hair to compensate. Great sounding amp that's loaded with features. Don't need to run out and buy a OD pedal if you don't have one, don't need to run out and buy a gate if you don't have one. All for under $800. Pretty good deal. 20 Watts of tube power is enough to compete with a drummer in a rehearsal situation if you're running it through a 2x12 or 4x12. Can get a good quality 2x12 from a company like Avatar loaded with V30s or a V30/Creamback H like Misha prefers, for under $450 or less if you're patient. So basically $1200 total for a brand new tube head with boost/gate built in, a birch built 2x12 loaded with v30s, and you've got yourself a gigging rig. That's my kind of deal. Obviously I'd love it if it was 50 watts but the days of me needing a 100/120W amp are long gone. I used to run 5150s through Marshall or Mesa 4x12s for years, cranked up to 3.5-4 on the post to compete against a hard hitting drummer. It was stupid loud and my ears hate me for it today since I was young, practicing in a closed-in rehearsal space without ear-pro on.
At first I thought Corey Taylor was reviewing an amp
Pre ordered one from you guys, chomping at the bit to get it!!! It sounds even more brutal than my 6505 plus!
My next amp!
I came here to comment on how good the demo was and wadayaknow the comment section agrees.
Great demo dude, hope you get to do more stuff in the future.
Gonna order it soon, wonder if they still deliver during this covid 19 situation
Whats the real tone of this amp near 6505 or 6505 mh or 6505 plus with tight switch.
Is this less woofy than the 6505mh. Maybe my cab has a ton of low mid...
Does anyone know how this deals with pedals? Specifically a diesel vh4 and does this break up at a lower volume than something like the dark terror?
Hi, Wyatt. The amp can work with pedals pretty well. If you're on the clean channel, you could use something like the VH4 pedal for your distortion sounds. It won't break up like the Dark Terror since it is a two channel amp. The clean is designed to stay clean most of the way up, and if you want any drive sounds you would use the second channel or a pedal.
Thanks for your interest!

Yeah, something sounded off the entire video. Not sure what it was. Maybe the guitar, maybe the pedal combo. i don't know for sure but I do know this amp sounds a hell of a lot better than this.
Does the presence of a cab sim mean you can play this without a physical cab? Apologies if this is a dumb question
would like to see the same amp , same player , but with a proper guitar
Why does no-one know when these are coming out? What’s the reason for the continued delay? I’ve had a preorder in for months. Peavey can you send me one please before I simply cancel and buy an EVH 5150 instead? Tell you what, I’ll even do a proper demo of it for you and upload to my channel too if you get one out to me!
The Home Guitarist Same here, Peavey must has something wrong with the production.
Elvis I ended up cancelling my order and have got an EVH 5150III EL34 combo arriving in a couple of weeks. The latest release date I saw for the Invective MH had been pushed back again to December, nearly a year after they were shown at NAMM!
I contacted sweetwater and tbey said mid april now. Im gonna go for a evh 5150iii now.
ashes of the wake right at the beginning noice
How do you control the volume? Are the pre and post gain knobs the main way to control it?
post gain is the volume of the gain channel but i've no clue how to set the volume for the clean channel
wheres the master volume?
It really bothers me that alot of amps like this that have a DI/Line out for recording don't let you turn the Cab Sim off! I mean there are ways around it, but it would just be nice!
Simple fix for this: connect your FX Send to your interface. This gives you the preamp without a speaker so you can load your own IR.
somebody know what cable brand he use on HX L/Mono Input at 1:21?

Cannot hear the middles ...
this guy is the perfect reincarnation of Alexander III the Great of Macedon!
All of those features, still sounds like a metal zone through a crate gx-15.
lamb of god new guitarist..??
Maybe it's just me, but when I want to see/hear an amp review I want to hear what the amp itself is capable of. Save pedals for a tiny portion of the review. I'm not here for the pedals...just the amp.
Dude, are you the child of Corey Taylor and Richard Z Kruspe?
Thank you for playing a quality guitar. Most of these demos are some azzhole playing a telecaster
Wow huge "thud" when engaging/disengaging noise gate, sounds like an issue already and that's not even using the footswitch which will increase that noise. Little skeptical now???
I didn't see much knob turning :(
Where is it made?
Hey there! Thanks so much for reaching out about the new Invective MH. They are made in China.

Did the dude use the pedals
Not in this cut of the video. I had some delay stuff, but it wasn't included. Mainly used it for the tuner though.
@@ridingwithkillers yeah right. Why not just play a guitar through the amp so we can hear what you're supposed to be demoing.
A bit biased since I have the original 120W head but this is nothing like it. Misha's point was to get a cleancleanclean channel and a modded 5150 type gain channel. This can't do them well, especially the clean channel just isn't clean at all. Seriously, save some money and buy the big one if you can find it somewhere.
You mean your playing a Gibson les paul 60's standard cause the year model is irrelevant now.
My Grandma's Leola & Hilda always said all of my life the Love of money is the root of all evil and boy were they ever right. No truer words have never been spoken by mankind and in their case womankind
People acting like a Gibson cant play metal lmao
Idk how people can feel that way when a ton of great metal players play Lps and flying v's
Nobody gives a rats ass about how the clean channels sound on these types of amps. Why waste time demoing them?
gregg4164 The clean channel on this amp is advertised as one of its best features and is used extensively in the genre of music it was made for.
Nasty and too bright metal channel coupled to a will chuffing dark clean channel... Not very useful.
Don’t like it, frizzle schnizzle
A proper metal guitar would be a better choice to demo it.
This amps the Laquita of minis, extra. The crunch is over saturated & takes away from the time and clarity very review of these amps is just like uh.... ok. Good review tho I like this dude, I vote Sweetwater use him and his style on more reviews. He looks and sounds like a diet corey Taylor lol
You can dial back the gain for a less saturated distortion dude.. I have the 120 version and it's a 6505+ with a gate and boost and with a much better clean tone. It sounds awesome, I love it..
@@brandonproctor3639 yeah, I would like to hear what it sounds like clean??? All I learned from this demo was that it makes so much noise that it needs a friggin built in noise gate.
Sweetwater needs to use this guy more for demos.
