I think you're doing better than the Leyland Brothers. 😆
A touch of your personality isn't a bad thing.
153mph winds are mind blowingly powerful.
I've been in a small tinny in a southerly. Another boats occupant kissed the sand when they made it back to harbour. It was that bad, you just accept your fate.
    RIP

It happened to me in a 17' dinner on lake Superior, you are bang on about accepting your fate. It was almost....peaceful. Cheers.

There is a great song about the wreck of the Dandenong. Kate Burke and Ruth Hazelton brought to life with their version

Dude, you're not a robot, are you? I think you're a human reader, but my confidence is little better than a coin toss. Are you trying to sound like a robot? If so, you might try reading an episode in a more natural cadence. I think you'd get stronger engagement. I start every episode you post, but only finish half. Which is too bad, because your stories are excellent--when my concentration doesn't wander. I don't intend this suggestion as heckling, but sincerely friendly advice. Obviously, it's your channel, and you must do as you prefer. Cheers.

It is a valid critique and one we have worked on over the years. This one we frankly admitted even before releasing it that it was flatter than we would have liked, but it was too late to redo. The main issue being the somewhat flat intonation is the natural cadence in this case and it proves to be a hard habit to break. I assure you we will keep working on it and we truly do appreciate the feedback.

@@theshipwreckarchivesMaybe I have better headphones, but there's nothing neither flat, nor robotic with your narrating voice when I'm listening.

I assure you that we do not use AI, though you are not the first person to think we do. We promise to continue to work on delivery, and our narrator is very attentive to such feedback.
