One thing I like about this woman every time she is talking she normally said let me talk with local language because she is talking to the people of banjul ❤❤
Love it, this is the Gambia we all love to see. This is what makes our country unique. One Gambia, One people, one Nation under God..just beautiful ❤❤❤
Mr Manneh started well but in the end his speech was disrespectful and arrogant. How can you say to the Mayor’s face I don’t need your permission rudely like that. Who the heck you think you talking to just because you are assigned some army personnel.
He seems to be living in a dream. He holds public office not selling ego. Professionalism is very important. Manneh seems to lack one. He thinks he is above everything that defines humbleness.
Even my own property when I was ready to develop it the lady that was using it to grow crops/gardening had her crops there that were ready for harvest but I still had to compensate her and seek for her forgiveness for making her harvest it all at once to get the chance to develop the property. I could’ve just asked her to leave without any compensation but I know I don’t own anything everything belongs to Allah and as humans we are here to look out for one another. I didn’t tell that lady “I am not here to asked for your permission” that is very arrogant and rude statement. Eka kufang leh eteh Mr Manneh Tolleh ba lemmou tee man…
We don't need this woman as a Mayoress, we need her to lead the country out of the darkness it is in. We men have messed it up so bad so let's give the ladies a chance and I'm sure they'll do a much better job.
Maturity is humanity...... Mr Manneh's line " I DON'T NEED YOUR PERMISSION TO CLEAR BANJUL" is premature statement but thank God the MAYOR is equipped with knowledge and maturity.
As Gambians, we just need to have an open mind and understand that this is more about sensitization to bring awareness to the public on how we should conduct business in public by changing our old ways of doing business on the streets traditionally which is not a good reflection on us as people. We can be very rigid and stubborn at times by not following rules and regulations because we are not accustomed to that way of life in our culture. We have always been privileged to do what we want freely at our own freewill with minimal strict force apply when it comes to maintaining proper code of conduct. As far as following what the Law of the Land decreed on us, let's just say, we all failed woefully and miserably to hold ourselves accountable and are now facing the consequences of that part of our everyday lifestyle and for that we are all FAULTED for it and guilty as charged collectively and as Gambians we must FIX this problem appropriately by taking ownership according to the laws if we must move Gambia forward in the right direction as one big family like we always say. Now how true that statement is, can be determined on what is happening on the ground based and how we treat each other as Gambians on a court of Public opinions..I hope we can all just get along and keep it moving by been honest to ourselves that we can agree to disagree but respect the law of the Land that governed us for all our sake talking a leap of faith in this transitional change of a different Gambia hoping for a best outcome
@@ibrahimsolotouray8416 I totally agree with you that the initial approached of the dialogue was very appropriately carried out but something happened in the middle where words of translation was lost and it became a bit awkward moment..On a positive note, let's just say this kind of operation never happened in the Gambia ever and people can sometimes be overwhelmed by such greater task of a burden of huge responsibility on their shoulders and sometimes it brings your real personality out instead of the professional in you...They both are giving a bigger responsibility and have an assignment to do their duties and bosses to report to at the end of the day..People personalities sometimes crashes but I like to believe that they have mutual admiration or possibly respect for each other. I hope that is the case here and I am giving them the benefit of the doubt..Overall, I think at the end of their closing remarks, it went pretty well because the Mayoress,, made a good comeback on throwing funny jokes about the Nuiminkans to be moved out of the City of Banjul because they are all troubled makers in Banjul and very difficult to work with and I believe Mr.Manneh is from Nuimi District if I am correct..That was a funny amicable comment from the Mayoress.
I don't see anything wrong with what Mr. Manneh said, on the contrary, he was respectful, maybe a tad too direct but this is what it's all about, being given a job means doing it well and without having to kiss feet for it. Manneh has been given a very difficult and demanding task and the way he's been going about it commands our respect and commendation, but the problems start arising when politicians begin to poke their noses in the works of hard working people like Manneh. Mrs. Lowe is also a decent lady known for her hard working nature, but all the same, it won't stop me from asking, what has she been doing all those years watching Banjul become a real land of chaos and anarchy? Here is a brave move by government to rectify decades of neglect, let Mr. Manneh and his team do their job, indeed, this team has been delegated to do a truly tough job, let them continue and please stop nit-picking on him and his team, many of you here voicing criticism of Manneh would dare not take his job, I bet you. Then the producers of these videos, kindly work on the sound system, it's too low and one can't hear much, even at full volume blast. Bravo Team Manneh, job well done, don't shy in front of anyone, especially Politicians.
So good to read your positive comment and more people should support this man,as there is no other way forward.Developement can only come after the demolishing of certain buildings. Space is needed and not rusted old shacks.Let Gambia become a country to be proud of.
