As a collector of collection boxes, anything from XY era was printed much less than boxes are now and hoarded even less than that. You won't get the same type of returns with modern era boxes except maybe the original Eeveelution boxes from 2 years ago.

I work at target … and everything the Vender has put out is gone the same day …. Might fight some poke balls or single blisters but that’s if your lucky. The vender literally was handing out 151 booster bundles and not a single one made it to the shelves
I want to display my products in my living room but I'm afraid the cards will get bent because I always hear you should store sealed products in dark and cool places. The tempature in my living room changes quite a bit sometimes. What do you think?

I understand Booster box has been king and how over time the box itself has become the collectible. But with that very concept in mind are the new Pokemon center ETBs with that little stamp not primed to be the new king? There is demand straight off the rip because of buying restrictions, there's lower production compared to regular etbs, Those promo cards with the stamp are a big draw for collectors especially when its a fire card like the magneton. But most importantly they look better than booster boxes as a display piece, and as a collectable you want your display piece to look good. Take your own background in this vid all the beautiful ETBs outshine the booster boxes. Deploying a large amount of capital would be difficult but not impossible. But if you are looking strictly at ROI on a sealed product there maybe a new king in town.

On the shiny app, no because its a new app that doesnt have the historical data to draw on. For context, i use shiny. But a premium membership of Collectr will give you data going further back. Personally, i don’t see the data further back than a year as totally necessary but it can be helpful if you want to try and time a play in the market :)
In my opinion, anything that's bulky and difficult to store and protect ie. most collection boxes, apart from the UPC's, is a no go for me as an investment. ETB's, Booster Boxes, 3-pack Blisters (if it has a banger promo), Booster Bundle Displays and single packs in that extra cardboard if it's a sought after set.
