I disagree. I like that the daily missions are really simple and don't require a lot of effort. It means I don't feel obligated to play and can instead just play the game for fun. If that means playing for 10 minutes a day, then so be it. I imagine it will be better in the long run by not burning out its player base.
I mean, we technically don't know if they will reset our account level up rewards when the next big set of cards comes out or not. Like how seasoned games do, every 3 months, your qccount level rewards reset an we can then, again level up to max level an get more rewards again. Which, with a game like this, having that reset every 3 months makes alot of sense. And, since we don't know yet, one way or the other on weather or not they'll end up doing this come the end of January when the next big set comes out. Its best to grind an get as many free rewards as we can before that happens..if it does. It's better to be safe then sorry. And you snoze, you lose.. If they ever wanted to do missions tied to events where ya gotta level up to complete the mission, they would basically have to do this. Even more reason to do so.. I'm not taking any chances? But you do you.
I agree with this, I like that is is quick and simple and we do not have to grind. Enough games out there you have to grind for awards. Now, maybe they could add extra content daily for special rewards like this, but leave the simple dailies alone. It is nice not having to be hooked to playing. On top of that, they can just have other events like the Lapras one, etc to give us extra challenges. Those will come along the way I am sure.
I disagree with some of that. Daily missions should not be changed as I think simple quick dailies you can do will help retain the player base better who don’t want to put in a bunch of time daily. However, I do think they should add some missions that offer higher rewards for people willing to put in more time to grind out a bunch of packs. Tbh, opening a bunch of packs is my favorite thing about this game but earning a bunch of hourglasses in order to do this is practically impossible once you’ve already bought them all from the shop and completed all the solo missions. They should make it to where you can earn hourglasses from battling so there is a consistent way to earn hourglasses that also encourages players to actually battle with the cards they pull.
Actually that's a lot better than a rank system. Maybe you can earn exp whether or not you win or lose to hit level 50 faster (also the level 50 being max means eventually even battling will be pointless), and an hourglass is given for a win.
@ I assume that upon releasing a new set, your level will be reset to allow players to re earn the hourglasses acquired via leveling up so that isn’t necessarily true but I do agree that there isn’t much point in battling right now besides to try out new decks. There should definitely be a way to acquire hourglasses through battles
I'm not writing this to provoke you and agree the game is far from perfect, but I will share some thoughts I had while watching the video to give a different perspective. This is a gacha game, and having played my fair share of gachas, I can say it's far better to have quick and simple dailies. For example, logging in, opening one pack, and doing a single Wonder Pick. Long and tedious dailies often lead to burnout-imagine playing for 30 minutes just to get the same four hourglasses. The game is only a month old, so there are bound to be updates introducing new modes. For now, the low time commitment is a strength-it’s not supposed to be tedious. If they introduce a competitive mode or something that requires heavy grinding, don't get your hopes up, I doubt the rewards will be generous. That’s just how gachas work-they’re designed to make you play your most powerful card for one or two quick transactions. That said, I’m not complaining about the event rewards so far, they’re fine. If you’re feeling bored, it’s worth noting that many creators are experimenting with different decks featuring their so called "favorite" Pokémon. I know it's just for the video and whey probaly will never play it again, but at least it's something to watch so that’s enough to keep things interesting for now. One feature I hope they avoid is missions that require specific cards. Here’s why: Even if they make sure you own the required card, it might be something useless like Seadra or Golem. You’d likely throw it into your regular deck, hope not to draw it (if it’s bad), and just pray for a win with a worse version of what you usually play. If you’re forced to use such cards and lose a match, you’ll have to keep battling until your opponent bricks. That’s not fun gameplay. For me, the charm of this game lies in its simplicity. Spending 2-5 minutes to complete dailies or hopping in occasionally for the free Wonder Picks event. Finally, I think a more pressing issue is the first turn in battles. I hope the devs will come up with a good solution. Anyways, I really enjoy your videos so keep up the good work.
exactly, the fact that there’s 0 rewards for pvp is exactly what raises deck variety. otherwise literally everyone would play the same two decks. currently, people play pikachu for a bit, get bored, and can experiment with other cards at their own pace.
Totally agree. Nothing to grind for at the moment other than packs and u get them without grinding anyway. The rewards need to be better for the PvP as well
Someone proved the packs in the carousel don't matter. They did an experiment where they would have one player sit on the carousel screen and it would already generate the wonder pack for their friends. The pack is determined when you click open pack, before you even choose in the carousel. The bent packs, backwards packs, ect are just mind games from the dev.
The Lapras-style events will be the bi-weekly challenges to keep people playing. Most people I know are tired of being "pushed" to constantly do dailies even when the interest is waning. If you want to have reasons to play, join the countless tournaments being hosted or play PvP?
I like this video a lot! This game is FUN and we just want there to be "more". They really need to implement more PvE events (besides just collecting x-amount of cards). Whether that's roaming trainers, special in-game tie-ins, or even something entirely new. The dev teams can get really creative to come up with fun ideas.
I mean this newbie event has a free wonderpick that resets every few hours for a set few fire types, and that really doesn't help much cause the pokemon are the more common ones and the only caviate would be an occasional chance at getting a blaine... and then the hype is mostly for arcanine and if you were using wonder glasses to get cards for your deck then... it's useless. I mean I already had 2 arcanine and I got lucky getting one in my second attempt at the wonder pick so I have one of the two flairs now, but even the flair is pathetic cause it's just copying the full art arcanines flair when you'd probably use that card instead anyway. While having something simple and quick can make it easy for players like my siblings to just collect cards and have fun without feeling like they're missing out, at the same time you are right when players like myself want to get more from the game just hit that f2p crossroads and unless you spend money that you don't have you can't enjoy it much anymore. Heck rates suggest that eventually the measely 2 a day will make the casual card collectors get frustrated and give up too. It's just not enough to keep people interested.
I feel like they need a free battle pass just like pokemon tcg live where it gives you some packs or sleeves etc. They also need to change it where both players get exp at end of battle.
I'll be honest, I play f2p A week in, and I already got a full Mewtwo deck; 2 weeks, Dnite deck, both 1 stars. 3 weeks, full pika ex deck, Zard 3 star. 1 month, 1st god pack, Mewtwo 3 star. rn, I'm just hoarding hourglasses for the next set. I'm satisfied with the game as is, maybe it's just the RNG I got. And honestly, I'm happy the dailies are so easy to do: login, 1 pack, 1 wonder pick (which it's often free), after that, I just have to pray enough people like my galleries. I appreciate I don't NEED to play a lot even when I don't want to, and maybe that's what makes me like this game. Looking back, a lot f2p games I played I dropped because they became a chore to do. If anything, I just want them to add more PvE matches, just to grind some more hourglasses, maybe next set...
I feel you, at this point just trying to collect the handful of missing cards. Really enjoy the deck building aspect of the game but now im just waiting for a new batch of cards to shake up the meta, I can only get so creative with it when half the player base are running mewtwo or pika :/
They definitely need to take the master duel approach. The time system in place is meant to suck more money out of you because they're gonna milk it and drag their feet to release new cards. The game already feels stale after a couple battles.
As expected to a casual tcg, it's going to be simple, slow yet no pressure on releasing new updates to this game. The downside are some players what's more in pronto, they demanded more content, more events and more solo content. Even some of us are very casual players yet felt this game lacking in game content (just solo and PvP nothing more). Some of the Gacha tcg I know have storytelling features and login bonuses. Maybe 2025 is a year this game full forced on releasing new updates and contents
As someone who stopped playing marvek snap earlier this year, no please keep grinds away from this game they are miserable and make you feel like you need to play by force and not because you want to. The game is on its early stage it's hard to say what kind of things we'll get in the future given that not even all the features of the base game are even in yet. The solo battles have missions, I been having a lot of fun completing them and we can probably expect more in the future with each expansion.
As we know the packs are rigged, well if so, every second pack you open should be a rare at least. Also let is craft more valuable cards easier. Gotcha game is like this, but it's way too slow. But I think by far the worst thing is for losing you don't earn any exp. Who has time to not earn anything for the time wasted?
I personally like the fact that the app doesn't demand me to spend hours of my day to enjoy. Most of us have jobs and other commitments in our lives and don't have the time for that. Lets normalise apps/games that you can just hop on and play when you feel like it!
I think they made this game without a long-term plan because they didn't know if it would stick. So now they have to come up with a plan quickly and get to developing a sustainable long-term game that won't be a short cash grab. There's solid foundational pieces throughout the entire thing for monetary gains for them, interesting game play for us, and an endless expansion cycle. The only thing I could see this doing that GameFreak/Nintendo may not like is if this has any significant impact on card sales. Even then, they could tie the game to physical cards in various ways as well
its not made for you to stay on the game *facepalm* thats why they market it first for collecting, that's why theyre giving you two packs daily, so you can log in and open it
The game feels barebones imo. As a spender, I’d like more things to do, to make the money I spend feel more worth it. I’ve spent $308 since I started 3 days ago and have 730 poke gold left. I feel like once I use the rest of my poke gold I’ll have 90% of the cards. I also dislike the 720 poke gold limit. Is that a law now that they have to put a limit to Gacha games? I wonder why they put a limit.
I disagree. I like that the daily missions are really simple and don't require a lot of effort. It means I don't feel obligated to play and can instead just play the game for fun. If that means playing for 10 minutes a day, then so be it. I imagine it will be better in the long run by not burning out its player base.
100% agree
I really hope they don't change this
It'd be better if they introduce events that are like two weeks long and don't require playing ever day
I mean, we technically don't know if they will reset our account level up rewards when the next big set of cards comes out or not.

@@Splatz007grind? you mean for 15xp a win so you can get 1 pack every level up? 😂
I agree with this, I like that is is quick and simple and we do not have to grind. Enough games out there you have to grind for awards. Well it's more of a collecting game than a pvp game. You're supposed to buy packs every now and then when you want more.
