ru girls have performed in tel aviv for years and every time there's been a lot of pishback from fans, and mo had to have seen it because the speech she held was prompted by it. and lack of education is not an excuse because if so many people are telling you you're about to perform in an apartheid genocidal state and you *choose* to ignore it and not at least google it, that's completely on you. also, again, the genocide has been widely known of for years.
and, i don't know if this is a wild take to have so excuse me if it's too radical but idk i think her "not knowing what we all see now" doesn't work as an excuse here because this isn't about her NOT doing something, it's about her holding a fucking speech about how it's ok for her to perform in israel. again, being in that kind of situation and still not even googling about what's going on is fucking insane
ALSO also, if she did make a mistake and defend a cause she knew nothing about because apparently nobody knew about the genocide prior to last october, the least she could do now is donate money to palestinian charities/families to help mitigate the damage she's done. and not only is she not doing that, she hasn't even mention israel or palestine since october as far as i'm aware. and if her not knowing what was going on is an excuse for back then, it sure as hell can't be one for right now
