Holy cow. How do nurses handle all this pressure and responsibility? I think I would just explode if I was responsible for anyone’s life like this. I guess we’re lucky to have people like you with nerves of steel. lol
As an ACLS and Paramedic Instructor I will say this is an excellent presentation , well thought out and the lecturer is knowledgeable and confident. Well done!
Update: I passed my CET exam! Thank you for your videos and excellent instruction! I am a Medical Assisting Program Director at our local Community College. Through my years working in the field, I have gained a basic understanding of what looks good and when to notify the provider when looking at an EKG. Since becoming an instructor, I want to provide the most for my students. This is why I decided to take a course to learn how to read EKGs. Your videos have been incredibly helpful, and I will pass your links to my students and co-workers. You explained EKG interpretation in a way that makes sense and is easy to follow. From one instructor to another, YOU ROCK! Thank you so much for posting your series, and I look forward to watching your future videos!
As a nephrology nurse this is very important for me to understand. Thank you for breaking it down, I am going to rewatch these over and over until I am fluently understanding
Your enthusiasm to teach has opened my heart and mind to learning and retaining knowledge. Thank you for spending your time doing this. Through your words of reassurance and knowledge, I can see that you were once a quivering (ha) baby nurse like the rest of us. But now you’ve mastered it and are teaching us! Beautiful!
5th semester nursing student here, never truly understood heart rhythms to a skilled degree. You have saved me! Thank you so much for the condensed review.
I love all three videos about EKG’s. I have really learned a lot in a short amount of time. I actually repeat the videos and take notes which are extremely helpful. I’m getting ready to transfer to Med Surge / Telemetry unit and these videos are very helpful. Keep doing a fantastic job with the videos. I’m definitely feeling more confident LIKE A BOSS !!!
Thank you for the video Jon. Monitor Technician here of 10 years and counting. One afib criterion is that it's ALWAYS irregular. If you see a regular (false) afib (no discernable P waves, etc.) Monitor techs never use the term "regular afib" btw, there's something else going on. This is where you check the ECG in leads III, any V leads (V1, V2, V3), and AVF (which is a V lead) to have a differential diagnosis. These leads are good at showing flutter waves.
I found this EKG video series to be so helpful! It breaks down the basics in a way that's easy to understand, even if you don't have a nursing background. It was much simpler to learn from these videos than from textbooks or lectures. Thank you!
Doctor tells me I have Persistent AFib est. 4 mo’s with a HR 30-182 so I monitor it a lot in a week they will do a Cardioversion then a cardic ablation so the more I learn the better I feel ( mentally) thank you for the ease of mind .
Wow! Wow! Wow!!! For the first time ever, EKG's are making sense. You made it so simple and straightforward to understand. Thank you so much, your enthusiasm and simplified method of teaching is just AMAZING! I can't believe I finally understand this *happy dance*
LOVE YOU NICHOLE! THESE VIDEOS HAVE BEEN SOOOO UNBELIEVABLY HELPFUL! IT WAS SO MUCH EASIER FOR ME TO COMMIT THESE RHYTHMS TO MEMORY WITH ALL YOUR TIPS AND TRICKS. THANK YOU!
Now my question is where you been wow thank you thank you thank you . I’m an aid I work in a hospital I do EKG many many times , you are the right person for me to learn because you are so clear . Thank you .
Ultimate video I've ever seen on ecg....but cud you please do the same on blocks and electrolyte imbalances on ecg and also mention very briefly on the immediate management as well....it would be so helpful
Came around your video after 4years. This is so good. Great job, I never understood this ECG in school🙆🙆🙆the way you explain them very easy to understand. Just know that you are helping many new nurses out there👏👏👏👏👏
i was doing a plumbing job at the university of iowa, after hurting my foot for walking over 20k step a day, i am going to do a sitting job which will be CMU. THANK YOU ur video helps a lot
Thank you so much! This series condensed entire power points and my ATI text. I definitely have a better understanding of EKGs after watching this series.
Taking my NCLEX I few weeks. Thank you so much for helping me understand more with your series of video on this. . I also love the fact that that you are smiling the whole time while explaining this complicated topic. Bless you lady. 💕
In your 5 step method, step 5 states “PR interval less than 0.02s”. I think that’s a typo, it should be “PR interval less than 0.20s”. Aside from that, really great video, learned so much! Keep up the good work.
Needed a quick refresher before a test (haven’t done cardiac x 5 yrs…don’t use it, you lose it) and WOW! AMAZING VIDEOS!!! Simple and well said…literally EKG learning for ANYONE. Everything came back to me when each segment was discussed. Highly recommend your videos! Thank you and keep ‘em coming!
I love your videos, you helped my class a lot! However, slight problem...PR Interval is supposed to be less than 0.20 second, not 0.02 second. Just hoping to help...
I watched a video right before NCLEX. It helped the gave me ventricular tachycardia and what intervention was needed. It actually was my first question. So thanks so much
I LOVE YOU GURL !!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THESE LESSONS .. I spent 4 darn weeks trying to learn this and I just got the full understanding from you ! Way to go .. God Bless You !!!! 💓💓💯💯💯💓
You should cover Bragada syndrome on an EKG and also hypertrophic cardiomyopathy as well. I watched a great lecture on being able to recognize those patterns on an EKG and I feel that it would be great information that someone by chance might recognize and save a life.
I must first thank you very much for sharing this video. Your explanation is so simple and very clear. Words cannot express how much you've made me happy. 💪💪💪thank you
Hello! Thank you for teaching me about the heart, and abnormal heart rhythms. If you want to learn and know a medical condition about the heart, reply to me and ask me "What is a heart condition that I don't know, and you do?", and I'll tell you what it is, how it's dangerous, and more. Thank you for teaching a bunch of people very useful things.
Hi. I just discovered your acct and i immediately sarted following! Your lectures r so easy to undertand!I your teaching style and approach makes me learn ecg more effectively! Thank you for taking time to put these leaning videos together!
Instead of sitting in lecture for 3 hrs learning about this I could have watched this 11 minute video. Thank you so much for this!
alll about money
Same here, could've saved some dough on tuition & book also and is more fun here than driving 2 hours to school and sit on lecture for 5 weeks.
Did you pass your test? I failed the first one. Now I'm freaking out about the 2nd
Had my first cardiac lecture yesterday and this was my exact feeling. You explained it better than my professor in 11 minutes!
Agreed she explained well
As an emt it was pretty nice "having a conversation" with a nurse that wasnt yelling at me
OMG!!!After 37 years of nursing I finally get IT!!!! You are amazing and an excellent teacher who made understanding so simple.
Me too!! ❤️
Not me😂
What did you do for 37 yrs?

Keep up the good work.
0.02 is the value of the smallest box on the strip. There should be 10 boxes in a normal PR interval which is .20
@@sandranichlos5446 Actually, 0.04 is the value of the smallest box on the strip. The PR interval should be 0.20 or less, as mentioned above.
Agree! She put the same thing in the first two videos-
@@sandranichlos5446 I think 0 .04 is the smallest box measurement- which 5 small ones would be 0.20
Amazing! I hope you live long and prosper!

I have struggled with EKGs when given a test but you make it so understandable. Thank you.
Ventricular Tachycardia : Wide QRS complex and no P or T wave
