Did I really hear Mr. Watts propose working from home (WFH) as a way to avoid traffic, save time and reduce stress? Using the telephone and electronic communication as a means to save labor and increase vacation time and shorter work weeks. Stuff we take for granted. This man was truly way ahead of the curve!

Money is just a medium for providing goods and services to society... so yes we do need money. If I'm a farmer and I want to trade my corn for the pharmacies medicine, but they already have corn, then I'm in trouble, hence the medium. THE problem as Watts points out is government tax, skimming off the top and artificially printing MORE of the medium, then giving it to those who contribute little, or none at all. Then we all suffer the consequences. Money should be a finite thing, not printable, the government is no better than a counterfeit thief.
What would be our best response about those who contribute little or nothing at all? Why are there these people would probably be an important thing to consider along with what will be the actual effect of our choices. It just seems to me if being homeless was easier than not there would be a lot more people doing the homeless thing. 🙏

The homeless are just a byproduct of a thieving government. Their numbers are directly proportional to the number of jobs, cost of living, and outdoor temperature. Jobs and cost of living are proportional to how much your government thieves. How much your government thieves is proportional to how big of promises they make... You want equality? Tax and Print. You want climate change fixed? Tax and Print. Free housing for everyone? Tax and Print. If you're really concerned about the bums then vote for a government in favour of reducing the size of itself.
We dont naturally need money we can live perfectly fine in a world without it but that's idealism since that's just not the world we live in or clearly want.

Homelessness is a function of four things: 1. Good Weather, 2. Free Meals, 3. High Taxes, 4. Regulations. So if you want to reduce homelessness then you have to remove some components from the equation. The government of a society has two choices:
A. Provide #2, Take #3, and Enforce #4.. this is how western society works right now.. yikes
B. Eliminate #2, Reduce #3, Cut #4.. This is how China and India have lifted their entire populations out of poverty and grown their GDP 7-15x in the last 20 years, while America has drifted sideways.
If we were lucky enough to find that an asteroid would hit earth in 5 years and prevent plant growth for 5 years we might be able to pull our heads out of our ases in time to see that we could easily produce enough food for everyone many times over if we decided to do so. I've talked to family about this many times but just last night one told me the world was overpopulated. It's fine that someone has different opinions but what is the purpose of saying something as though it were fact to someone you know does not believe it is close to fact. It's our animal instinct that desires hierarchy.
It's amazing how blind people are to particular kinds of obvious facts and how many dismiss logical reasoning with the repeating of what I term Satanistic mantras like there will always be the poor or it isn't "right" to get something for nothing. Fine, whatever but let's feed everyone first and then figure out what we everyone to do for it second or tie for first, I'm flexible. It's not that long a story of how it is it costs us so much more to not do what is actually right compared to what it costs us to insist that everyone do particular kinds of things in order to acquire particular things. Air is free because they haven't figured out a way to control it's distribution and meter it. You know much of the decision about how much of the world is going to be fed is done every year when we do the farm bill just before we choose again which healthcare plan we want sold to us for what we will need according to which celebrity convinces us to call one of the many providers provided for us as an integral though quite expensive part of our healthcare system. Now let's all get off our knees for a moment and sing America the Beautiful like we really mean or face the consequences as is only right in a free society. 👍
