This is great to see, I really enjoyed Warhammer online for it's PVP, fairly balanced combat but it lacked a lot of meat. It's like of similar to World of war craft at level 60, when you only get on to PVP, or at least I did. I enjoy these older MMORPG because they have more creativity than they have graphics. I've recently been playing Asheron's call and that game is still going very strong with user hosted servers.

I think the mirror system really hurt this game. it puts off a lot of people and did. No one wants to play a weaker version of a class, even if their faction has a better version of another class.
When I gave RoR a whirl a few years back, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they'd done some extra class balancing. The mirrors feel more equal, and the more egregiously OP builds were brought down to where they're no longer fun-killing nukes, but still feel powerful. (Yes, I'm talking about YOU, Bright Wizard.)
Warcraft annoys me because there are no truly "bad" guys in the Horde, (unless you count the Forsaken) just a bunch of lovable misfits. Warhammer is proof that people want to play the bad guys, because theyre far more interesting.
It's not what it was lots of players have left the game is being drawn further and further away for what it is its a dark mmo. It's being run on a snowflake server the list is endless but you will see the longer you play :)
Not sure why I keep seeing videos like this recently, which is odd cause the playerbase is at it's all time low as of late which sucks to see, it's the weekend and only 400 people on granted that's still decent for a private server, it's enough people to atleast experience the full game, I use to see over a 1,000, at all times, could be the sudden New World hype or the announcement of Interbellum which is a new War private server in the works, as far as the videos I've seen there's tons more QoL features and new much needed mechanics, figured I'd wait for that server to come out instead of waste time on Return of Reckoning, I imagine most probably feel the same way sadly.
Well it's probably going to be a looooooong time to wait for that other server and there is no guarantee. In the meantime this is the place to get your fix if you want it.
Idk, never was a big fan of the whole massive PvP trend. Its messy, chaotic, laggy, you got some fat nerd who thinks they're genius at the game barking orders at you, sometimes you don't even know how you died, and these things go on for hours. If I wanted to have sweaty PvP, I'd play a Moba or a shooter. MMOs are supposed to be chill and about world exploration, character building, environmental ambiance, resource collection and crafting. But instead they use this cheap trick of "ooohhh look at the SCALE, look at how many people are here, don't you feel so insignificant as you're part of something so big?" I know MMO stands for MASSIVE multiplayer, but sorry, not sorry, ain't my jam. If I wanted to congregate with a bunch of people I'd go out to some shitty club on a Friday night. There was an MMO I played a long time ago, and several servers got shut down but were picked up by other companies. Its called WYD or With Your Destiny. The graphics are shit, but you can run multiple accounts on one PC, and the best part is, they have an auto farm system (that still takes some strategy, because the system is janky). I could leave my PC on at home running a tank a healer and an archer farming one mob spawn spot and I'll check in via teamview remote access while I'm at work on lunch break and I can clear out the inventory. You can buy stuff from other people, form parties with your friends, so yeah it's still better than a pure single player Gacha game, but the game isn't barebones UNLESS you're willing to do the massive PvP stuff. There should be multiple selling points of an MMO. It's an online sandbox almost. But too many companies rely on the crutch of massive PvP to sell an underdeveloped game. (Cough GW2 cough) In Guild Wars 1, in order to get an elite skill, you had to find the monster with the skill, kill it while having sigil of capture equipped, then use the sigil on the dead monster to take the skill. You could assign any mix of skills that matched your primary and secondary classes, giving rise to almost infinite combinations of playing a character. In GW2 they removed all that. Skills auto unlock, you're straddled with certain skill combinations based on ur class and ur weapon. Basically just told the playerbase to stop being creative, don't think so much, and once you're done with the slim content of world exploration and campaign, you have nothing left but to jump into World vs World. So much wasted potential, Arena net. I played GW1 for years after the launch of GW2, because I "finished" GW2 in about 3 months.
for a pvp focused game, the pvp is boring edit > I only experienced t1 and a bit t2 but I guess I have to get used to the game first because it feels old schooly paced. maybe later on things get better
Believe it or not, it's not super complicated in this game... but it's REALLY fun. Everything is built around PvP and that is what you do to level up, so it's easy to get into instead of most games where you quest and do dungeons and later on you try to get into it and it's overwhelming.

I tried to download it 6 times only error 😢
This mmo refuses tô die but actual deva keep killing It whit stupid decisions
wish they made a new warhammer mmo.
Apparently they are doing just that. =)
Wtf i started playing today and didnt know it was a private server lol
How do I play this?
www.returnofreckoning.com/forum/install :)
Look up Return of Reckoning and you will find the website. Have fun. =)
w time to play fr
I recently played a bit. Got a Squig boy upto 16, then you get T1 chicken and game kinda sucks coz there is no T2/T3 pop.
I agree.
The only thing to do at that point are Scenarios or go to Tier 4, find an open group and gain experience/renown.
Its funny i just downloaded the free version yesterday gonna enjoy it
its great
god I wish I had pc
🎉
❤️🔥
I played for a few months and the game was just not for me
Idk, never was a big fan of the whole massive PvP trend.
(Cough GW2 cough)
In Guild Wars 1, in order to get an elite skill, you had to find the monster with the skill, kill it while having sigil of capture equipped, then use the sigil on the dead monster to take the skill. I played GW1 for years after the launch of GW2, because I "finished" GW2 in about 3 months.
for a pvp focused game, the pvp is boring
edit > I only experienced t1 and a bit t2 but I guess I have to get used to the game first because it feels old schooly paced. maybe later on things get better
The real experience is T4. T1 is like kindergarten comparatively. The game really starts feeling right at T3, but T4 is *chefs kiss*.
End game is broken last time I looked at this game
It's funny how you just roll right into the game and not talk about the stupid BS you have to go through to download and install.
Meh i prefer pve. Pvp just seems complicated
Believe it or not, it's not super complicated in this game... but it's REALLY fun. Everything is built around PvP and that is what you do to level up, so it's easy to get into instead of most games where you quest and do dungeons and later on you try to get into it and it's overwhelming.
yess we love RoR
region lock. just let it die
...so the game is dead lol. Fan servers dont count for anything
how do they not count when you can play
Few hundred people playing a game is walking dead lol
@@SuperSinSlayer Because they arent official, and the fan server itself is dead.
Please use some common sense
@@OrphanCrippler1 and what does it matter if it is not official? heck I prefer private servers over whatever the greedy out of touch big names put out. Also, it is clear as day you havent played the game cos it is pvp 24/7. now go crawl back where you came from and continue playing fallout 76 or whatever official garbage game you think is alive kek
@@SuperSinSlayer lol...All that cope doesnt change the facts
Well i mean it is dead, its literally 1 private server running.
Thats a dead game bro.
It died and its still dead. They never even finished releasing it.
