Glad to see Border highly rated. Unlike most of the others played in a terrible Aussie team up from 1978 until 1989 but was always up for the fight and laid the foundations for future success
@@darrylmackie9184 We could do with a few more in today's game.He would be a killer in T20 too. First to score a century in a session. One of the fathers of NSWRL and first grade baseball player.
Left out the greatest Australian to ever live: Keith Miller. Not only could he turn a Test match in a session with either the bat or ball but as a WW2 Mosquito pilot he was the OG Han Solo, a handsome swash-buckling rogue of a pilot that effed as princess.
At a time when they were the best fast bowlers in the world, Border played ten test match’s in a row against the Windies - 5 in Australia and then 5 on their dung heap. At a time when he stood alone amongst the batsmen, whilst later turning into good test batsmen, Border was alone. Absolute legend and best in my time. Bloke would die rather than get out. If you had a team that was batting for your life, I’d pick him and Steve Waugh. Absolute fighters.
The ACB and many purists never rated Dougie Walters.....he was TOO attacking and won too many games with fast scoring......same reason Ian Chappel is not on this list, yet Greg is......hopeless against good fast bowling but guaranteed a drawn game against inferior bowlers by batting out time to impress the statistics lovers.
Hussey is good batsman but sorry should be nowhere near the top 10 Aussie batsmen . Top of my head can name Ponsford, McCabe, Harvey, Simpson, Lawry, Boon, Taylor, Clarke, Langer, Martyn as better batsmen
1. Sir Don Bradman 2. Greg Chappell 3. Allan Border 4. Steve Waugh 5. Steve Smith 6. Ricky Ponting 7. Neil Harvey 8. Matthew Hayden 9. Victor Trumper 10. Either Bill Ponsford or Bob Simpson
Listening to what this guy is talking about the all times greatest batsmen from Australia 🇦🇺, I would like to know what is his criteria of his selection. If is by the amount of test matches, runs or centuries that the batsmen scored during their careers. In anything you must or should have a method how you go about selecting your players, because some of those. Shouldn't be in an all times greatest batsmen. Before they have enough runs or centuries to be included, into this prestigious category of all times greatest or. You should go by the time they played, but they shouldn't compared with these modern players. With thousands of runs and more centuries, because Ricky Ponting is the leading batsman for Australia 🇦🇺 with runs and centuries overall. So in all circumstances he should the number one, Alan Border,Steve Waugh, and brother Mark, Steve Smith, David Warner, Matthew Hayden, Gilchrist, Donald Bradman, Shane Watson. In any circumstance Ricky Ponting should be the number one test batsman and odi Australia 🇦🇺, according to his illustrious batting skills he displays throughout his career. It is unmatchable by any other batsmen, with his 41 test centuries and over 13,500 runs overall about 73 centuries in test and odi cricket. With an overall with 27,000 runs ,we are really tired of hearing stupidity about Donald Bradman is the greatest batsman of all times. With one 6,900 test runs and 29 centuries and two triple hundreds, there are 3 more other batsmen did it too.I know that you have a lot of cyber bullies out there who doesn't, not like to hear the gospel truth at all. You haveto numbers on the board to prove your greatness, without your numbers as proof, then you have no talk ok.
Anyone who doesn’t understand that Bradman is the greatest of all time does not understand cricket. And he did it over a 20 year test career 1928-48. In his last tour -at age 40 - he averaged 72 over he five tests with two centuries and one 50. Second best? Daylight.
@@colinr1960You don’t need to understand cricket to comprehend the difference between Bradman and the rest, just an understanding of numbers. People like the bloke who wrote the comment that we are responding to, are masters of wilful ignorance.

This video was basically who do you think are the other 9...
Other 8. Daylight is 2nd….
Used his dart board for the others.
How to start an argument.
Adam Gilchrist at 9😮
Apparently, Greg Chappell turned into Graeme Woods half way through his career ... (4:24)
No Billy Murdoch, Victor Trumper, Clem Hill, Charlie McCartney, Stan McCabe, Neil Harvey, Doug Walters? Really?
How many Victor Trumper's were there ?

@@darrylmackie9184 63, but only 27 Neil Harveys.
Trumper was in the list on this video

Ask Miller’s wife and children whether they agree with your assertion.
Show us the Sandpaper caper.
Border has to be number two, he played against the West Indies at their peak, and averaged 50.

I remember Greg Chappell's 4 ducks in a row and 7 in total in 15 matches in 81-82
Bradman
Chappell, G
Ponting
Smith, S
Border
Waugh, S
Harvey
Hayden
Trumper
Ponsford
Clem Hill?
Looking for Doug Walters
Many apparently forget how good he was. Scored 155 in debut aged under 20 and three times had a century in a session in Tests.
Mark waugh should be in list
nice lot there, well done
Neil Harvey..
If it's quality & class Neil Harvey & Doug Walters are next to Bradman only.
.Those days opportunities are less . But class is immortal.
I'm sure Don Bradman is the best batsman.
Michael Clarke instead of victor

Bradman
Chappell
Border
S Waugh
Harvey
Hayden
Hussey
Clarke
Gilchrist
Simpson
Left out Smith as he is still active.
Ponting should be number 2
@thylacine1004 oh crap I forgot about him.
1. Sir Don Bradman
2. Greg Chappell
3. Allan Border
4. Steve Waugh
5. Steve Smith
6. Ricky Ponting
7. Neil Harvey
8. Matthew Hayden
9. Victor Trumper
10. Either Bill Ponsford or Bob Simpson
Ricky Ponting is better than the 4 before him... nobody surpasses Sir Don Bradman.
Absolutely pathetic. You have only Trumper and Bradman of all those greats from before 1980's.
CRAP!
