2005 Ford F150 front differential removal, install & SURPRISE

  • In this video I'm gonna show you why and how I had to replace front differential on my 2005 Ford F150.
    My old one failed. Got stuck in 4H. The truck was making a funny grinding noise on 2H starting around 50 km/h and when I switched to 4H it immediately stopped. So I drove it for a while in 4H and then it happened. Loud noise at 80kmh like a steel against the steel, got the truck to a hard shoulder quick and just in time, then it stopped completely with wheels blocked. Switching into 2H made the truck unstuck and got home like that.
    I'm not sure what was the main cause of it but I surely found a result of it. Watch the whole video or click on timeline below to switch between video chapters.
    There's also a little hint what to do with that thick Motorcraft 80W90 oil to make it flow better even using cheap fluid pumps.
