Apologies for the late release on this one. Ive underestimated just how much effort goes into these sort of videos. I've broken this into two parts as there's lots to unpack. Will release Part two over the next few days. Thanks for appreciating Ep1, ill get through the comments over the coming days. Thanks again for watching and feel free to add some information to the cars if Ive messed up. Also thanks to everyone who shot the photos used in the video, without the documentation over the years, none of this would be possible. Cheers!
I'm not even from Ireand and I feel your pain friends. My country is very busy at being one of the shittiest place on the planet and still import tax is unbelievable. Like the car or bike here gonna cost 3-5 times more than it costs in Japan. Just sad F govenments man.
@juiceboxforyou I have the bn sports r34 now and yes I’ll be putting the roof back on on this channel. I was hoping you had some footage of it in Japan but you have all the same pics I have. Awesome video!
I don’t understand how Neil only has 167k subscribers! The authenticity, quality and knowledge you have and provide on this channel is insane! Love from wales 🏴
35 secs in, my supra when it got resprayed Lamborghini balloon white. Car came in through wkd imports from power vehicles. If ye (Juicebox) want to do a video on it, just reach out, happy to show ye how it is now
I could listen to stories about early 2000’s Japanese and Irish car culture all day as a 21 year old it’s the closest I can get to experiencing that era.
Thank you for making these kind of videos! i just wish they all could have been saved 🙈 17:27 the yellow ps13,4 pick up ended up in Norway! im currently searching for it with the purpose of restoring it. Cruise Power! Wow… what a throwback. Haven’t seen much even around the internet on them in many many years. I remember watching their civic rip around Tsukuba on tapes back in the day, in all its 3 wheeling glory.

There’s also some other crazy machines still out there in Ireland, Top Fuel, Created some of the fastest Hondas in the world, and the original Tokyo auto salon car featuring a h22A Turbo now resides in your home land! The Top fuel is one of the greatest EK builds to ever come out of Japan! Great video! 🫶🏻

Incredible video , hats off to Wez he really didn’t miss a trick back then , good to know a lot of these cars survived , I love the fact he still has the evo , what a motor , priceless ,
Turning R34's and S13's into Drift Utes was a popular thing to do here in Australia back in the day, the most famous ones being the Neon Pink Hogs Breath Cafe cars that competed for years in the Australian Drift Championship Hogs Breath Cafe (popular chain Steak House) still use them as Promo to this day, in fact the one nearest me has a mould of the side of the S13 Ute on its wall, pretty sure that most locations have either one of these, or of the R34 Ute I'll get some photos of it for you Neil, I reckon you'll get a kick out of it!
Absolutely marvelous job tracking the history of the car's, in the best of your knowledge of them. They will always be known for the amazing machine's they are and how someone putin the wrench time to make them better. Hopefully, the owners will continue to keep them looking good and eventually pass them on to people with equal appreciation for them so they can be around for longer.
I sent Taguchi's (mixi?) blog to Kevin, wondering if he had seen the photos on that blog of the Ryōzanpaku AE86. He hadn't, so he was very suprised and excited to go through it. Now, I'm seeing the same photos on this video, which is just as cool. It's amazing to see that despite all odds, that car which is so obscure, managed to survive and end up in the hands of someone that could truly appreciate it, even though many other much more famous cars suffered terrible fates.
Awesome content, i love all the history you dig up. I got some old pics from when Prodrift went to Sturup Raceway in Sweden and some irish drivers came over if you'd like to see. Keep doing what you do, we love it 🥳

The Dear motorsports stagea ute ended up in south Australia, it popped up for sale about a year ago, its close to original condition but parts and stickers have been removed 17:20
I think there is a bias to this list, there's a larger chance Neil would know about cars that survived so they have a higher chance of being featured on this list. Cars that died a quick and quiet death in 2007 might have been forgotten even by him.
@@kennytheamazing With this list its mostly cars I have seen or known about, pop up in magazines later on, so a balance between what was famous here and out there, but there's certainly going to be a lot of examples I never even knew about that never made it out of towns villages etc etc This list could be 80 - 100 cars with all the in between stuff 😅
I've been really conflicted for the last few years about keeping my s13 or selling it and building something newer like a gt86 that are still "cheap" and widely accessible. And then I watch you're videos are realize I'm never selling my car lol
A great set of videos. It’s a lot of material but if you could not edit the voice so tightly, I know you want to make it as short as possible but the edit makes it’s a bit hard to follow along with so much history here, take and extra 5 minutes so it’s not so choppy. What a history.
I don't know why but I specifically remember the red version of the ct230r I think that's when I really started the deep dive into car culture i think I was in the 7th grade...
Appreciating these videos. It's funny how people fawn over these Japanese cars now when 20+ years ago they were cheap, plentiful and being ragged to death, like Ford Escorts 20 years earlier
@ ah yea, think the nankang supra was a full new build. Looked it up there and it was 4 years ago Chris said he still had it and it needed thrown back together just had no time. I’d love to see Neil get a nosey at it!lol
The only sad part is, we not gonna get new cool cars... Barely any hot hatch or something sporty on the market. So if the cool cars disappear thats the "end" of it...
