Wow, thanks! Very kind of you! Well then, I've at least two more videos for this week. One tomorrow, and it's a lighter, less focused on particular games one, and more of a complimentary release to the Essential DOS Games series, and then one for Early Windows. I'd like to release something more for DOS this week too, but work's been a bummer recently so, it may just be three this week. xD
Thanks, though because of trying to keep the channel politically neutral I shall not share my opinion about the man. Let's just say, that I don't want anything from him. ;)
Enjoy! :) Also, these are the absolute best games on the system on a year by year basis. If you're interested in those less known ones, I've nearly 17 hours long video on that too. ;)
the story telling is great but - I watch or more hear your videos because you have a very relaxing voice, nice to fall asleep - but only long videos or playlists. keep up the good work!
You are killing it! I've really been loving watching these or leaving them running in the background. You are also funny as hell, in this very awkward, which kind of makes it funnier, way.
What you do here is nothing short of amazing! I really hope more people find your channel :) I could watch your videos all day. And, with how long this one is, I just might. :D
@@OldAndNewVideoGames It is a lot, but it's really enjoyable, even if it's a "rerun" compilation for me. There are some parts and jokes that are well worth a second watch. Rockstar! in particular. :D
Awesome selection and lots of interesting info! I played a lot of these as a kid, was always drawn to the ones with the best graphics, FPS and RPG's of all types.
So true, me and my kid mentality I guess lol. It worked a lot of the time luckily, the ones I chose ended up being good. I think art style helps a lot with RPG.
@@endx9 Graphics help with every game, which is also why I don't understand prevalent within the retro gaming community hate for modern games and how they look. I love games. Period. Old or new, as long as they're good I really don't care when they came out in. In fact, one of my faves is Vermeer, and C64 version out of all, so one running on a very underpowered hardware. And it makes no difference to me as it's so addicting and fun to fire up once every couple of years or so for an evening or two. :)
I love these videos because some of them are so obscure and even black market some of us have memories of these games, when we played them we probably got them from a hacker guy or a teacher who was super cool and knew a hacker guy, I remember when I was a kid I had a cool teacher who just gave me one of those floppy disc cases with like 100 floppies in it when he was leaving the school, it had everything he just made some of his students copies, I remember I didn't go for recess for like 8 months playing those games on the computer.
@@OldAndNewVideoGames yes, it was a compilation of the previous military flight simulator games released by Jane’s. Funny thing is. Jane’s was traditionally in the business of publishing encyclopedias about all the weapons and military equipment in the world. From bullets to aircraft. Not sure how they got into the video game business, but needless to say, the game was very accurate in terms of the aircraft and the variety of weapons you could choose for the aircraft.
if you ever want to do a video where you play a game instead of just overviewing and using someone else's footage, I'd probably be into that. Something you /want/ to play would be fun. just as a special one off or something?
Man, playing FPS with just keyboard is LAME. Doom and Quake do not deserve to by botched like that. If you can't, include playback by someone that knows hw to play 'em. A friend, a girlfriend, your ganny maybe.
Hands down, this is the best and most frequently updated channel for retro pc gaming. You're doing fantastic work!

God bless this channel, you've offered us houndreds of hours of entertainment.
Thank you! :) I've more coming soon. At least two more this week. :)
I love your channel. Its a treasure of retro gaming.
Thanks! :) I'm having fun with it too, so I suppose it's a win for all of us. ;)
Forever appreciating what you do
Thank you so much! :)
Woah, that's a colossus! I've always been fascinated by older games, and this video will help me delve deeper to them. Thanks a lot!

Well then, lucky that I always release all series when they're done as singular videos too. :)
I can't even tell you how much fun I have walking down nostalgia lane with you bud. You're killing it!💾
Thanks a lot! :) There's more to come, so hopefully you'll stick around. :)
In fact, I'm releasing a new video tomorrow (Friday).
I appreciate your hard work and effort we can found on your videos! Thumbs up! Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹
Thanks! Glad you like them!

Thanks! :) I am half cringy, half awkward, half weird. And yeah, I'm electing to ignore that it's at least a half too many. xD
A love the pure nostalgia hit from seeing games I forgot I played.
Great content! ❤
Thank you! :)

Graphics do make a difference, I agree. But they don't necessarily mean the best game. RPGs are my jam too. :)

Great Videos, great Games!

10:49 Man it su cks so much to be a road construction laborer in this game. They order you to pave the road, then tear it off right away.
It is what it is ;)
Fighters Anthology was my PC game of choice. It was awesome in terms of the real planes, real weapons, and real landscapes.
I've never played it. Well, as a singular product that is, cause afaik it's a compilation of few earlier games, right?

I forgot to tell you that I remember it was a CimCity on the Amiga as Wild West version. It was funny.
Yep, there was a data disk with wild west and moon themes. It was fun. :)

Fits well. I mean, if you played the game, you'd know NoLongerWithUsTimeAfterTimeAgain would be better, but that's good too. ;)

cool thx man
Thanks for watching! :)
I don't see Desert Strike / Jungle Strike.
You're correct. It's 25 games per year, and as much as I wanted to, I couldn't include them all.
Xenon 2 on the Amiga was better, it had a Bomb The Bass soundtrack.....
Most things back then (late 80s/early 90s) were better on the Amiga :)

You can play doom with just a keyboard
