Still will always picture Natsuhi with the Winchester shouldered clearing the hallway till she reaches the portrait and seeing utter insanity in front of her but keeping her iron will and still challenging Beatrice. Can't believe how much she grew on me as a character as shes usually the type I dont like at all.
Gotta be honest, when we hear this music for the first time in the game, when Natsuhi challenged Beatrice boldly with just a gun, and the tension is just so damn high with all the previous murders and mysteries That was a peak umineko moment
I really liked the atmosphere of that tea party, it felt desolate, scary, tension, sadness, etc ... many mixed emotions, also at the tea party in chapter 7. No comments XD
The first time this song plays, it perfectly expresses the emotions you and the characters feel and have felt about everything that has happened and was going to happen. I can still remember it six years later. It's amazing.
God this song is so good. It feels so endgame. Really feels like a bittersweet bad ending kind of theme. I remember it prominently during part1's ending, this song made it pretty memorable.
@@reyk4781 Yep, but man. What a great game. I'm now pestering all my friends to play it haha! Got one of them to start. He's actually even going to do a let's play of it on UA-cam. Good stuff man.
It's always nice to have finished it years ago, come back to the comments and see what changed, and spot people who recently were exposed to the glory that is Umineko
10 years ago, I listened to this one night while staring at the ceiling in my college dorm. I was alone with nobody to talk to, nothing planned, and nothing to disturb me. Nothing bad was weighing on me, and I had nothing good to look forward to. Everything was so still and slow; it was like time stopped and the rest of the outside world completely vanished. And that's what I feel when I hear this song - just being adrift and in my own reality
I love a lot of the songs in the series, but I always find myself coming back to this one, despite the fact that it's a bit less flashy than many others. I feel like, in some ways, this fits the tone of Umineko at its best in a way that nothing else really does.
This might be the very best umineko song. It's a sad song but there's without doubt a feeling that resembles hope and will in it. Really great to see that in action on that episode 7 scene
The witch shall praise the wise and bestow four treasures. One shall be all the gold from the Golden Land. One shall be the resurrection of all the dead souls. One shall be the resurrection of the love that was lost. One shall be to put the witch to sleep for all time. Sleep peacefully, my beloved witch, Beatrice.
i know this was posted two years ago, but considering this plays after natsuhi dies in EP1 and before the door to the golden land opens, that makes sense...it's cool. you've got the eerie sense of the witch coming, and not being able to stop it and like everything's lost... fuck man, i love umineko
So, what? Is this all some kind of predetermined fate? No... This is all... the prelude to a wonderful world. The gate to the Golden Land... will finally open.
This song plays in my head when I come up with a new idea or a new approach to something. It's the kind of song I can imagine playing whenever you're about to take a calculated risk.
Yeah, it's been awhile since I finished the vn but if I recall when the chatacters were thinking about a mystery or something that happened in the past, This track will always play. Now, It feels like a "riddle-solving track", if you know what I mean.
I used to clown on people that said some media “changed their life” cuz I thought it was a hyperbolic way of saying you really liked something…but damn now I understand
This track reminds me of EP1 Natsuhi vs. Beatrice EP4 Battler inspecting the bodies while alone on the island EP7 The siblings solving the epitaph together and discovering the VIP room
I love the groove, balancing out the eerie droning and synth-y sounds with a more acoustic options, and creating a perfect split between late night city vibe and whatever graveyard this is being performed in. Makes it perfect for dropping into an eerie scene, a hopeless situation where everyone's given up, an investigative mystery scene, a flashback, or even bustling night streets. So many Umineko BGMs are built to be reused to get a different emotion just by slightly tweaking the context, and somehow this is still just one of the *weaker* examples.
I will always remember this when it first played. EP1, Jessica: Wait where's mom? Maria: ELVIS HAS LEFT THE BUILDING!, challenging a mere insect to a curb stomp gun duel, and somehow the speed which I read at aligned the moment when she was shot with 1:36
This song and the ticking of a grandfather clock can be heard when I try to work out a new/fresh approach/way to do something. Also, a pile of gold can be seen.
This always felt less like detective-thinking-time music and more like aftermath-of-an-intense-incident music to me. That came off horribly but you get my point.
This genuinely sounds like what you'd hear in a 999 ending. It has this perfect empty creepiness and feeling of end with a mysterious tint. Like everything is about to end, but you have no idea what is going on. So it's perfect for it's scene!
I came across volumes 15-22 of the manga at my local store recently. I know someone wouldn't trade in the later part. This has played in my head as I've scoured the store for the rest. Where are you!?

For me, that has to be Voiceless.

It's honestly insane how well that moment ties in with the culprits identity.
