His dad Kanat, had flown in from Kazakhstan for this performance. They hid him in the back so Dimash would not know he was there until after the performance. The video goes on to show his dad emerging from the audience and the moment he catches the eyes of Dimash. Just at the end of the song, you can see Kanat air fisting with pride for his son, then when they encounter each other, they grab each other and Dimash picks his dad up and swings him around. One of the most endearing things about Dimash is his vast love for his family.
👏👏👏💕💕💕I’m enjoying your reactions to DIMASH 💕💕💕 May I suggest: « Know » « Sinful Passion » « Autum Strong » (The singer 2017) « Ogni Pietra » « The Love of Tired Swan » « Love is like a Dream » And so many others … 😊😊😊
Fact. Well let us see. His Dears have told me he practices at least three hours per-day....save for performance days and I'm sure some rare occasions. So being very liberal, if he didn't practice for roughly one month combined annually he'd be practicing about 1005 hours a year. He's what, 27 now and been at this for...we'll go with 23 years (puts him starting around age 4...people mentioned he was already performing by then). That'd give him 23,115 hours of practice. Double the whole adage of 10,000 hours to master something. At this point, yeah, he's the encyclopedia lol. Purely an amazing human.
Always enjoy to see a new Dimash fan! Makes us live again the moment we all first discovered him! Greetings from Canada and enjoy the ride of the greatest singer!
Hi there, this was in 2017. He was good then, but, he's way better now. Dimash never sleeps on his laurels. The discipline he has on his craft is amazing. To start training when he was 5 years old by starting with piano lessons & competitions until now is just sheer dedication. Dimash lives and breathes music. Btw, he still trains/practices at least 3 hours every day.
@@JDubReacts yes! Built into his performances, is so much exhilaration bc of the way he can surprise. I’m telling you, you can watch 10 or 20 more performances & he will still do this to you!! Unless u get cynical & close your heart. Sometimes people get overwhelmed I think & sort of go numb to what’s so special about him. I hope you’re starting to see it’s much more than his vocal range or technique. I’ve personally known some big iconic names in music. No one stirs & moves me the way Dimash does in every performance.
@@lolawants2008 It's a whole package deal for me. I strive to understand what is beneath the surface. While there are plenty of big named artists I enjoy, Dimash approaches his music in almost a spiritual way.
It is all he ever wanted to do. He lives and breathes music. Igor Krutoy came out of retirement to compose music for him and his spectacular vocal range and talent
First of all, if you had watched a few more moments, you would have gotten to see Dimash's father surprise him with his presence on stage, He was expected to be able to attend. And when Dimash sees him he hugs his father and , being 6'3", lifted his father off his feet. Then he asks his father if it sounded good. Very sweet. Second, if you want to be impressed by his language ability, Autumn Strong (the performance at the Singer coopetition in which he is wearing a hat) is for you. He sings in Mandarin, learned it in a week, and totally captivated a Chinese audience. Astonishing, as usual!
Please run Dimash's videos to the end. Some of the best parts happen after the performance. What you missed was Dimash's father was in the audience, having flew there before this show to surprise Dimash. Seeing Damash's face as he saw his father and as they grabbed each other in hugs and Dimash picked his father up overcome with emotion. It was priceless. Then Dimash asked his father after the hugs backstage, "Did I do okay papa?" This magnificent artist asking his papa if he did okay. Tearjerker.
Welcome back, JW. Dimash acknowledges that his vocal cords are longer than what is usual, just like your apt Secretariat analogy. Carrying it a step further, without training even Secretariat couldn't have won the Kentucky Derby, let alone the Triple Crown. Dimash is an absolute beast when it comes to training, practice and discipline.
amazing!!! In 2017 Dimash was invited to participate, as the only non-Chinese-speaking foreigner, in the "I am a singer" contest. He made 14 appearances, winning three. He finally got second place for his status as a foreigner (now it is possible for a foreigner to aspire to first). It was quite a novelty and became popular the day after the first episode was broadcast, garnering 600 million views. This was the boost he needed to make himself known around the world. SOS, The show must go on, Diva dance, Adagio, Opera 2 are some of the songs he sang on that occasion. Dimash was 23 years old.
Dimash speaks fluent Russian as his second language , so with his clear and good Chinese pronunciation in the song Daybreak. I honestly love your reactions as I followed you from the beginning of Dimash reactions. Thank you.❤️🇺🇸
Hola Bienvenido al mundo de DIMASH Reacciona subtitulado a inglés los temas son muy hermosos. Adagio Daybreak Autumn stone SINFULL PASSIÓN Screaming Video oficial Etc.etc.et. Saludos 🇨🇱 ❤️🌹
He really is the whole package, from his technical abilities straight to being able to captivate, hold, and wow his audience. He's really a master of it all.
I must say many pro female high sopranos struggle with this song. Man! The way he controls with breath, vibratoes so consistently! That is insane! SEAMLESS transitions. His vocal technique is so ridiculous! Key changes many times and singing live and awesome performer as well!
Oh boy, are you in for a true rabbit hole ! This young man, now 27 has trained for 22 years. I like your honest & not over played reactions ! More Dimash please, enjoy the ride, you’ve already got lots of great recommendations !
Hi from New Zealand! I enjoy your reactions.Welcome to a new Dear (what Dimash calls his fans).Funny story, when I first started watching Dimash reactions about a couple of years ago,I kept thinking, what on earth does this word -DEAR mean? I thought it must stand for-Dimash Evaluation and Reaction! .This was the second song from The Singer competition, Dimash was 22 I believe. He won first place in this round, and first place in the first round also, with SOS.He came second overall, losing to Sandy Lam, a very well known and beloved chinese singer. She is the pretty lady with chopped hair, amongst the other competitors out the back. I liked your reference to the amazing Secretariat.Dimash is the Secretariat of the singing world, for sure.I hope one day you do learn violin!I have just started lessons at the age of 62 and I'm loving it.You're never too old to learn new things, it keeps us young.I look forward to watching more Dimash reactions with you.
Your first song with Dimash was in French, this one is in Russian, as you continue with Dimash, you will see that he sings in 12 different languages and plays 6 instruments and fluent in 3/4 languages. There is no end to what Dimash can accomplish, Lyrics to this song : My house is completely built But I'm alone in it, The door has slammed behind the back. The autumn wind is tapping on the window, Is crying over me again. There is a thunderstorm in the night, And there is a fog in the following morning, The sun has cooled down at all. Old hurts Go one by one, Let them all get together. My house is completely built But I'm alone in it... The door has slammed behind the back. The autumn wind is tapping on the window, Is crying over me again. This is fate, and I can't Ask fate about anything. Only I know how after me, The winds will keen.
Welcome! How I love a new Dimash reactor. It is such fun to watch someone discover him! Dimash always refers to his fans as "Dears" because he feels like we are as his family. You have so much to discover about him. Not only is he the best singer in the world but he is a fine, humble young man. Please continue to react to him and get to know him. He is exquisite in so many ways. I really am enjoying your reactions. You are obviously a professional musician. So glad to have you! 🇺🇸😉
Welcome into the Dimash world. The "Dear's" his fans (there is an army of them) will let you know all the songs to listen to. Its some journey. He was 22 here, this is a Vitas song, which the producer then banned Dimash from singing it again because Dimash is so very good at it. There are many many songs, One of my favourites is Autumn Strong, his first 4 songs he sung in different languages. He is a true professional with an amazing range, which he uses to the best effect. He has perfect pitch. Highly educated He played in London (he wasn't well tho) just as Covid hit, so that sort of screwed things up abit. After his performance of SOS, the show got 600Million views. They thought he would be gone in the second week, he should have won it. He was a wild card invited to sing with all experienced singers. He blew them away. But it's China, politics got in the way. Enjoy, you have now been Dimashed.
The song is about a man who has finally built his house, but he lives alone in it and at night can hear the wind howling outside. The high parts are meant to be the sound of the wind. Most of Dimash's videos have subtitles in several languages including English.
Bienvenido al maravilloso mundo DIMASH. Cada una de sus presentaciones te van a impresionar. Él es el dueño del escenario. Reacciona a ADAGIO - DAYBREAK - LOVE OF TIRED SWANS - LOVE IS LIKE A DREAM - YOUR LOVE - DAIDIDAU - SAMALTAU, si deseas ver también sus nuevos trabajos STRANGER - FLY AWAY - AVE MARIA (2021). Ya me suscribí a tu canal.
Dimash sings in 12 languages but speaks two fluently, Kazakh and Russian. In this competition I Am Singer in 2017 he only spoke a few words in English, and learned songs in English and Mandarin in a week, which was the time they had to learn a song. He now speaks better English and you will see his progression as he gets older. he is 22 here.
This was week 2 in the Singer Contest. Week 3 was his cover of Queens The Show Must Go On. You are so right about his inability to accept anything other than perfection! He’s truly a wonderful human! He named us his Dears because we are dear to him...like his family.
If you can find the version , Dimash and his Dad Opera 2, watch it all . He was very homesick in China in the early days, with no language skills to talk to anyone and his father surprised him in this episode. It is wonderful to see the look on his face when he sees his father. Marvelous.
He can sing in many languages but doesn't speak fluently in more than about 4. He works very hard to learn the words and diction of each piece he performs. He in the Singer competition he had a week to prepare each song. There is if you look up Dimash a whole Singer show with only his songs. there is some great behind the scenes as well. It is just fun to watch.
So glad you are enjoying Dimash! Lovely to see such pleasure on your face! After Sinful Passion, check out his 3 newest releases....The Stranger, Fly Away, and Ave Maria... each dramatically different from the other, each showcases a different aspect of his talent. From what I've seen with other reactors, these three are getting a lot of scrutiny from the copywrite police. So do whatever you guys do to appease them. (The Stranger is the one that shows where his lower register is right now.) He's fluent in Kazakh and Russian, lived in China for 3 years and studied Mandarin during that time... he's decent at it, according to others. Simultaneously, he started studying English seriously. Now, he can communicate well - I wouldn't call it fluent, but it's a LOT better than I can do in any other language! YES! the comparison with Mozart is right on. In the perfectionism, the way he stuns audiences, and the way he's changing the face of music. There's a lot of kids determined to emulate him, and Dimash is their biggest supporter. 20 years from now the pundits will see this as a pivotal time. Finally: when you have time / inclination - go back to VoicePlay and react to Warriors - Layne plays violin like no one I've ever heard before. To me, it feels like a new instrument. Can't explain. Not a fiddle, not a standard orchestra sound. Devastating. I was riveted to the screen for many repeats when it came out. Sorry my comments are so long!
I appreciate your comments & im gonna check out that group- never heard of them. Lemme guess- does he shred on the violin like it’s a guitar?? I knew a woman who played Stevie ray Vaughn on electric violin & it was otherworldly. Also, can u just imagine.. if dimash had been alive in the time of the great composers.. he would have brought masterpieces out of them they didn’t even dream of, while they were creaming themselves over castratos 🤣 Lastly.. would it not be better to wait on the new if copyright may be issue..? Lol mostly I’m being selfish bc there’s something so delicious in see how blown away people are by his old amazingness before they ever know that with Dimash there is another stratosphere awaiting them later! Also I can’t wait till he sees them lol. Have a great day!
@@lolawants2008 No, Layne doesn't shred on it... I'll be honest, I don't understand why his violin drives me crazy. You know how sometimes Dimash sings as if his voice is a musical instrument? Layne sings/beatboxes/arranges for a cappella - and his violin felt like if it was another voice... at least in VoicePlay's cover of Warriors (which he arranged). I've only heard him play one other time, and it was quite different. I saw in the comments today that he's been playing since he was four......think he's 40 now. Yes, if you're curious, do check out VoicePlay. They're seriously talented and they take the "play" in their name seriously most of the time. (but that doesn't come through in the performance of Warriors, it's not a place for humor.)
I enjoyed your reaction. 😉😁 We all feel same as you. Dimash breath music, drink music, eat music... 😂 In his veins flows notes instead of blood. His whole body radiates music. There is no one on the planet, literally no one, like him.
This is goofball Russian singer /composer Vitas's song, and he was so incensed that Dimash showed him up so much he got an injunction against Dimash ever performing it again !So this is the only video of him singing this on the internet And Dimash started training at 5 when they found him to have perfect pitch .
This song is in Russian - Dimash’s second language. Native speakers say that he speaks it fluently, without any accent, and he certainly seems extremely comfortable with it! Other languages are less easy for him (except possibly Italian?) and he learns most songs phonetically - still doing an amazing job with them!
As a Russian who grew up in Kazakhstan, I would say that Dimash has a slight accent in Russian and his speaking is not as free and reach as in Kazakh. But you cannot hear the accent when he's singing (except for a rare occasional word). And learning Russian songs isn't a problem for him unlike songs in other languages. Having Russian under his belt he sings in Ukranian rather well too.
Most vocalists have about 2 to 3.5 octaves whereas Dimash has more than 6 octaves. But Dimash is more than merely wide ranges....he is THE COMPLETE PACKAGE which is rare. Don't just take our words for it.....discover for yourself.
Thank you for your reaction, I subscribe to your channel, because you can see sincerity in your respect for his abilities. In my opinion Dimash is a rare singer, the best singer I have ever heard and his technical level should be studied. Best singer of the millennium !! Our boy borders on perfection.
He practiced hours a day through puberty to keep his upper range and he gained his lower. I swear in his performance a week and a half ago, his lower range has gotten lower. He speaks Kazakh and Russian. He speaks a little Mandarin he picked up from living in China and a bit more English nowadays. Getting quite good in it. As for the other languages he just sings in them. I will not be surprised if he continues to pick up more
Or if you want to see where he is now in 2021, go check out "Stranger", "Fly Away" and then "Ave Maria" all new compositions written for Dimash (they are on his UA-cam Channel. If you think he was great in 2017, you are going to fall down flat when you hear him now. (LOL)
@@JDubReacts What's scary is he is now only 27 yrs old (he was 22 when he sang SOS in the Singer competition. O_O) He just premiered these three new songs a little over a week ago! And all the songs and performances he has done in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 are fantastic. Each year we have seen him improve and improve and cannot imagine what we will be hearing when he has reached his vocal maturity! I think we will all just stop breathing, period!
@@bejewel4669 He'd prolly hate me for this, but when he hits those really high parts it reminds me of the crazy looking opera singing alien from the 5th Element near the end of the movie. Something about the clarity of the tone.
@@JDubReacts LOL oh my go check him doing the Diva Dance from the 5th Element. He is the only male who can sing it and he sings it better than the females who have attempted it. They have trouble with the low notes. The one he did at his solo concert Bastau is on his UA-cam channel and is fabulous. 2017 after the Singer contest.
@@bejewel4669 I shouldn't be suprised he did that. Well, at least he won't hate me after all lol. And I suppose I wasn't off with that thought either 😀
In this performance, Dimash is singing in Russian. He is fluent in both Kazak, his mother tongue, and Russian. Opera 2 is in Russian. Russia gave Kazakhstan their independence in 1991 and Dimash was born in 1994. His family insisted he learn both languages fluently. He bounces back and forth between those two languages without thought. He is learning English but is still struggling with our phraseology. He can by sing in many languages, just like those of us who were in school choir back in the 60's and 70's sang an many languages. Latin, German....He is good with most languages in that regard. He began his attempts at learning Mandarin while he was in China, but it proved to be too much of a challenge for him. After "I Am Singer" was completed, he remained in China for three years until the big c was announced and his family insisted he return home to Kazakhstan. The show dressed him and his outfits never fit when they did. He is tall, 6'3" and you will notice in SOS his pants were quite short. He towers above his family members. Since his surname ends in Bergen, I suspect his European DNA might be from Germany or France??? Most of the people of Kazakhstan are Eurasian by ethnicity.
Dimash’s native language is Kazakh; he learned Russian in school while Kazakhstan was under The USSR. He has been studying English since 2017, and is pretty fluent now. (A while back he gave his first English interview without an interpreter.) He speaks some Mandarin Chinese. That’s 4 languages. For the other 8 languages he sings in, he learns the songs phonetically.
Very awesome and respectable. I've tried learning a couple other languages. The only one that even remotely stuck was sign language lol. No verb tenses or conjugations and the likes 😊.
Yes. This is a part of when he was on I am Singer in China he was approx 22-24 during that timeframe of his life. During this performance he didn’t know his dad was in the audience. He has flown in from Kazakhstan.

"That last bit was more of a brag." hahaha! Brilliant, J-Dub. I couldn't sleep tonight (not unusual), so, came here for Dimash, stayed for J-Dub. I've watched 4 of your Dimash reactions (so far). I've seen so many others react to this man's sublime voice, and most of them are very entertaining, but I have to say your mature, obviously musically-informed analyses are refreshing. Going to watch your "Just for kicks" Dimash note-find video next, just for fun :)
SOS was the first episode, Opera 2 was the second episode. If you want to continue the Singer 2017 journey, I believe The Show Must Go On is the next one. Subscribed.
A few said that The Show Must Go On was a great performance as well. I'm curious to see how he decided to perform that classic Queen song. I'm certain it'll be no less than amazing.
@@crissn8828 The mere fact that he tries is more than most people will do with a foreign language. Especially English... way too many rules and exceptions in English lol.
Hey, he was in this contest to win, so he could brag all he wanted in order to get first place! (Which he didn’t, for probably political reasons, China..).
I really, REALLY, enjoyed your reaction to Dimash, who is my very favorite singer of all time (and I've been on this planet a long time!). You have a very dry way of speaking that is actually very enjoyable because judging by your tone of voice and your face, it's almost unexpected that you are going to say such positive things! LOL. Believe me, most people who are just getting to know Dimash's capabilities can't figure him out. I've watched many vocal coaches kind of scratch their heads because he's not fitting into what they've been taught. It's really very funny as sometimes they argue over whether he is a baritone, a tenor or a counter tenor. The thing with Dimash is that he is all of the above, in addition to a bass and soprano! He really is very amazing and he does have extra long vocal cords, but he also has genetics going for him. Both parents are singers. He also has been studying music since he was five years old and he also practices every day from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. when possible. In addition he does a lot of underwater swimming., And he's a perfectionist, just as you guessed. I'm assuming you're working your way through the I Am Singer Chinese competition he was on in 2017. That's a good way to start because the last two major songs he released (Stranger and Ave Maria) show how his voice has expanded and improved, even if it seems impossible at this part of your journey. Anyway, I have subscribed because I'm really interested in following your journey with Dimash. Greetings from a Las Vegas Dear! (P.S. You're very handsome. :-D )
Good 'ole Vegas. Haven't been there in quite some time. It's a dry heat right? lol. Thanks much for the comments and hanging out with me...and the compliment :) I realize I'm a bit stoic as a few have pointed out, but I can't bring myself to be overly dramatic with the whole "wow" or "OMG" face, hands over the mouth, coupled with ridiculously long pregnant stares at the camera lol. (Now just imagine me acting that out and you'll see how odd that would look lmao). I have a deep seeded love and interest of music, so I process it quite differently. Blah blah...I'm rambling. All this just to say I'm at least very genuine in my impressions and thoughts 😊. As for the order. The individual that turned me on to Dimash recommended I start there. Specifically suggested SOS, Stranger, Fly Away, and Ave Maria....I threw in Opera2 and Daybreak as I was navigating a couple copyright issues. Soooo, that means Fly Away will be next and Ave Maria close behind. And then the flood gate will open lol. Thanks again for hanging out with me. Hope you stop by again soon.

Hi, Dimash controls everything, he can do with his voice what he wants, and when he wants. This Chinese game show is called "The singer" where he was invited. Dimash is a vocal encyclopedia. It's bonkers! Lol

Tearjerker.
😁😁 really enjoy you reactions and technical input. But man oh man Dimash just unreal.
Gracias por reaccionar al gran y único..dimash
Thank you.❤️🇺🇸
Thanks for your Reaction.

He's entertaining the audience...just cause he can
He really is the whole package, from his technical abilities straight to being able to captivate, hold, and wow his audience. He's really a master of it all.
I must say many pro female high sopranos struggle with this song. Man! The way he controls with breath, vibratoes so consistently! That is insane! SEAMLESS transitions. His vocal technique is so ridiculous! Key changes many times and singing live and awesome performer as well!
good react thank you..
Oh boy, are you in for a true rabbit hole ! This young man, now 27 has trained for 22 years. I like your honest & not over played reactions ! More Dimash please, enjoy the ride, you’ve already got lots of great recommendations !
Soy de Costa Rica pura vida amo a dimash el es el mejor del mundo 🇨🇷🇨🇷🇨🇷🇨🇷🇨🇷
There is no end to what Dimash can accomplish, Lyrics to this song :
My house is completely built
But I'm alone in it,
The door has slammed behind the back.
The autumn wind is tapping on the window,
Is crying over me again.
There is a thunderstorm in the night,
And there is a fog in the following morning,
The sun has cooled down at all.
Old hurts
Go one by one,
Let them all get together.
My house is completely built
But I'm alone in it...
The door has slammed behind the back.
The autumn wind is tapping on the window,
Is crying over me again.
This is fate, and I can't
Ask fate about anything.
Only I know how after me,
The winds will keen.
Highly educated
He played in London (he wasn't well tho) just as Covid hit, so that sort of screwed things up abit.

🙏 yes it's true, he does. The perfection, no more ! thank you and salutations de France
Marvelous.
Excellent reaction!!! Thanks
Hei Dears what are you waiting to subscribe this amazing Reactor.
You are the best reactor for me 👏👌
For Dimash I have a simple word: " no words"
Ohhh Dear that was fun😂😂😂
Also, can u just imagine.. if dimash had been alive in the time of the great composers.. he would have brought masterpieces out of them they didn’t even dream of, while they were creaming themselves over castratos 🤣
Lastly.. would it not be better to wait on the new if copyright may be issue..?
@@Aurora-cv5to I totally get u & that lack of adequate words to express why something is so special! Thanks so much for sharing
Thanks❤️ Yeah i think you are right, he doesn’t settle for less than perfect and he works extremely hard to achieve this.
Tu reacción subtitulado a español
😃🌹❤️
@@lorainisrael Thank you for your insight!
Most vocalists have about 2 to 3.5 octaves whereas Dimash has more than 6 octaves. But Dimash is more than merely wide ranges....he is THE COMPLETE PACKAGE which is rare. Don't just take our words for it.....discover for yourself.
The man in the audience at the end of the performance is his father. Dimash didn’t know he was there.
Thank you for your reaction, I subscribe to your channel, because you can see sincerity in your respect for his abilities. In my opinion Dimash is a rare singer, the best singer I have ever heard and his technical level should be studied. Best singer of the millennium !! Our boy borders on perfection.
I like your insightful, spot-on comments! Thank you!
I will not be surprised if he continues to pick up more
I agree, knowing Dimash I would be surprised if he learns to sing more languages either! Let’s just admit he’s remarkable in so many ways! 😊
You are right about his range getting lower. In Stranger he sings down to a C2 which is bass range.
That man at the end is his father
Спасибо.
Thank you 👍🇷🇺❤️
Follow Dimash’s The Singer 2017, 2018 and 2019 performances… they give you a good look at his styles and talent before he hit the pro stage.
Or if you want to see where he is now in 2021, go check out "Stranger", "Fly Away" and then "Ave Maria" all new compositions written for Dimash (they are on his UA-cam Channel. If you think he was great in 2017, you are going to fall down flat when you hear him now. (LOL)
Thankful for a cushy chair and carpeting lol. I'll brace for impact :)
Bienvenido al universo Dimash Qudaibegen hipnotiza. Tiene dears por todo el mundo. Saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷
He is fluent in khazak, Russian, English, and Mandarin for sure. But yes he has sung many languages.
React, mademoiselle hyde and the show must go on, dimash song,
🎧👍🇷🇴 (from Romania)
Gracias por reaccionar a Dimash, el mejor cantante y ser humano que conozco 🌹❤️🇲🇽🌹❤️🇲🇽

Welcome to the club💐 I was converted (into a Dimash' fans) 4 weeks ago 😁
Nothing better than a talented person such as him that isn't a one-trick-pony. Very refreshing.
yes this is the 2nd song he sang in the competition. I like when you had him on the bigger screen. All I see here is the movement of the clouds. I know you have to stop and comment but you don't want to do more than is required, You can google the lyrics in English. Sometimes you can click on the settings on the video and there will be subs

You are now a Dear too!! 🤣👏👏👏👏❤️
@@JDubReacts Just be aware that his English was not so great back then.
@@crissn8828 The mere fact that he tries is more than most people will do with a foreign language. Especially English... way too many rules and exceptions in English lol.
@@JDubReacts besides his native, his singing in Italian, Mandarin, and Russia are the chef kiss !!!! Great pronunciations and really good!
I liked the reaction! subscribed)
@@JDubReacts Yes..... dry. BUT HELL MUST BE DRY HEAT! Don't worry... I'll stick around. I like your style kid. 😉
