i signed up for lfm this week and read the rules, its actually any +4 car crash thats a 3 day ban, unrelated to lap count... so this will most definitely be a ban giving the throttle was 100% the whole time as well
He needs to be reported and yes it would be a 3 day ban. Just a small suggestion, these issues happen ALL the time it doesn't matter the track in Rookie series. So goal should be to get out of rookies. If you DNF or simply go to the pits after a crash and do not return to complete laps, then you will get max SR hit. SR as you may already know is calculated based on how many turns you complete in a race versus incident points. I have seen several races that you are rage quitting, although I can understand why, it will not be conducive to you gaining SR and getting out of Rookie Series. Best advice I was given was to forget about ELO all together and just focus on gaining SR. For this, don't even qualify, just start in back of the field, avoid all accidents and do your laps. If someone comes up behind you, let them go. Believe me as a racer IRL it goes against all of the fiber of my being, but in less than 5 races since taking this strategy, I am now at a 5.42 SR and out of the Rookie's almost entirely, will unlock C2 with the addition of .08 SR. The racing is so much better on the other side believe me. Still accidents will happen, but most people out of Rookie's don't want to go back there and are more cautious specially with T1 incidents. Sincerely, Magna GT
If only it was that simple, it does improve out of rookies, but it still happen far to often... The main problem is people spending hours hotlapping, thinking they are hotshots because they are really fast (and some are) but racecraft = 0
if the driver didn't take accountability after the race- they should be exposed. in reality everyone would be able to know who that was, then maybe they'll step up their game or else be blacklisted
Him hitting the car would have been one thing but then continuing to push him off was wrong. Whatever or however the rules are in LFM needs to be dealt to him, as severely as possible. I league race for this reason only
When I started competing online against other humans on various servers, it left me wanting nothing to do with it and only wanting to compete against AI or just hotlap by myself. Sure, I took it too seriously. And I took my safety rating equally serious. Since ACC dings both drivers - the one at fault AND the victim - I'd go out of my way not to make contact with anyone, even if it meant losing a position or three. Then I was told about LFM and how it's "better". I gave it a try. I have 6 races under my belt and I've been hit from behind at Turn 1 in every one of them. I don't mean I got bumped or tapped. I got hit. Like I braked at the 100M board and the guy behind wasn't going to until the 50M board. Anyway, I saw no improvement or benefit in LFM over the same BS carnage I'd see on any open ACC server. Sure, maybe it's better in the Pro league but you have to get there first and I don't have the tolerance to deal with these a**wipes that have no regard for anyone else. So, yeah, your guy made no attempt to improve the situation and was just a bull in a china shop. Not only does he deserve to be banned from any and all future LFM races, he also deserves to have his ISP suspended his service for 3 months so he can have time to reflect on how his selfish behavior robs other people of their enjoyment.
I left LFM/ACC two years ago or so because of other reasons but the carnage. So, maybe I am not really allowed to judge here. My suggestion would be to move over to a paid model where you separate "non-payers" from "payers". These "payers" will have their own races besides of the cost free races. They would take it much more serious and drive more carefully, I assume. Because they prefer clean races above simple arcade action.
I've also said this in past streams. A paid model (I'm already a Patreon) would possibly create a different environment. "Free" always comes with "cheap".
@@meawayfromhome Eventually, he did not even get a penalty. I cannot imagine that no one else filed a report. What I can say is that my report was declined for lack of following guidelines. This is not my first report, btw. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@LovelySimRacing Yes not getting a penalty for that is ridiculous. To be honest! I think sim racing now is unfortunately getting a lot of these kind of races.
LFM already defines what this is - causing a mass crash on lap 1. It has its own penalty. If the driver has many penalties then as a consequence of a high penalty rate, they are banned. The real question is - did you report this driver?
In fact I did. Twice. And my report was dismissed. The first time because my demo was 4min instead of 3min, and the second time, no reason was actually given other than “I need to follow the guidelines”. Also, on a support chat, one of the stewards told me “At no point can I see any intention here.”
And if the stewarding is still asinine in this case, then LFM provides even further recourse you can take by elevating your ticket to the stewarding channel in their discord.
@@LovelySimRacing If you reported for lap 1 masscrash rather than intentional collision, why would they have talked to you about intention? That just doesn't seem to make sense to me. As for the incident itself, not enough video for me to go off, I can't tell if his car is reacting at all to the contact and there is a nice kunos thing where if a driver disconnects temporarily, they won't get kicked from the server but other cars become permanently invisible to them. They can't see them and their car doesn't get affected driving through the invisible cars, but the cars getting driven through have full contacts. If his car literally isn't affected, that's probably it. Otherwise it's a ban if reported for the right reason. Edit: looked it up. So you tried to report it twice but didn't follow the guidelines it seems. You say yourself that your video was too long the first time. The second time it says that you weren't showing the standings. Have to follow the guidelines precisely. This is user error.
How to avoid these: make 200h of wreckfest playtime mandatory for the licence test 😂 But not for what you think... it actually helps alot dodging crazy and unrealistic moves. For this one there is no help tho, looks like plain ingorance. also very lovely dashboard you made :D
I think the grey McLaren should've backed off and not continued to drive into the back of the car ahead. The action not to do so was definitely purposeful and very poor quality driving. It's been awhile since I've raced ACC/LFM but I assume they still have the ability to file a report to the stewards? However, I'm sure everybody's LFM safety ratings were negatively affected due to the actions of that McLaren. which means, you have go through all that effort of building your ratings up again... Sadly, if the LFM Stewards impose a penalty on the driver at fault, you won't get your Safety Rating restored.
I do think this should of been a very stern warning at the least and a DQ from the race as 80% of the fields race is basically over/ruined. Season 15 is my first season on LFM and its been a Nightmare. Im usually in split 1 too so you cant say rookies or w/e I would say 85% of the races ive had I get punted off usually I can make a decent recovery 50% of the time. I usually do not report anyone people usually say sorry and thats great much better than a penalty. For me it feels bad to set people back accidents happen and that is all it is 90% of the time or more. But yea I do not agree with LFM Stewards so far ever lol They also seem oblivious that people are manipulating the FOV higher 80-90 to make things look completely inaccurate in there report videos everything is all stretched out gaps are 2-3x what they actually were with a normal FOV(45-55) Still the penalties go through even if you try to link your live recorded footage with the relative showing you were 0.0 away before you went for the move and a long side the whole brake zone before the driver that reported just turns in wildly and bounces off you. Anyways sorry that was a long one kind of I could of went on and on to be honest haha
ACC & LFM are not the same thing, so you should not confuse them. LFM for me, needs a better way of screening and punishing drivers. This particular driver was left unscathed as the report I filed was considered "insufficient" according to their rules.
Again, you’re referring to the servers/lobbies. I’m sure this problem exists in every sim… I remember open lobbies on AC and a few “interesting” races on GT7 ;) ACC is a great sim, but that is a personal opinion. Most professionals prefer iRacing… but that is a different topic.
It would be nice if that was a ban, unfortunately it will remain a penalty, maybe a little vacation because it happened right at the start. I don't understand why such drivers don't drive GT7 with open lobbies, that's where they really belong. Come to Iracing at last, it's time :)
You now I don't care about lfm any more there is effort to contact them and discuss all crash at monitor by bots so lfm is even worser than iracing the German managment behind lfm is 1 hell of a clown show its even saver to join public race in acc

That is 100% unsportsmanlike conduct. I'd instantly ban him.
ive been getting increasingly frustrated with people like this, along with people who don't lift/brake when incidents happen in front of them
the Lime green Porsche is at fault too @1:35 he starts the Domino effect at the back of the pack.
I believe that causing a mass crash on lap 1 is an automatic 3-day ban.

Not a lifetime ban, since the Netcode of ACC can make these kind of weird behaviors, but a free weekend of SimRacing for sure.
