    I've been following you and anatomyGMC for this whole semester, and as a result, I've been getting 90's and up on all my A&P tests. Thank you for recording yourself and posting these videos on youtube. I cannot afford an ivy league college or a tutor, so I have to deal with a professor who simply reads one power point slide and moves on to the next one with his friggin monotone voice. So thank you so much for everything, you cannot imagine how much help you're providing to complete strangers all over the world! Thank you Professor!

    I finished a degree already in Microbiology and Immunology, but now I'm working on another degree to become a registered nurse. These lectures would have made my first degree so much easier. I'm so glad I found this channel now, however, because it's an excellent review.

    Professor Fink words cannot express how helpful you are! I have watched the beginning of your A&P videos up until this point and I must say that the way you teach your classes anyone from all over the world is able to walk away saying "I actually comprehend that". Now I just started the course but so far I get it and that's all thanks to you! Keep up the good teaching because most of these professors teach straight from the book and because they been through the class and mastered it they teach like we should know it already! So thank you again for the work that you do!

    Great lecture! One question:
    You mention a blister is the separation of dermis and epidermis. Eventually we would peel off the epidermis, but it would grow back. Where do these cells come from that regrow to fill the hole of the blister?

    • @professorfink
      @professorfink  6 років тому +2

      The epithelial cells surrounding the "hole" undergo mitosis, re-growing a new epidermis there. I speak about the growth of the epidermis after a cut at the end of PART 2 of the INTEGUMENT:

    There are some errors here regarding breastfeeding:
    1) Colostrum is yellow, not clear, and while relatively low in calories, it is NOT low in nutrients by any means and is actually very very important. It is nicknamed "liquid gold" for a reason.
    2) When a baby is latching correctly, the areola is not drying out, and extra lubricants (lanolin usually) is not required. Typically moms need lanolin during the phases of learning how to nurse since it is a learned skill.
    and 3) A mother can easily and comfortably nurse past 6 months! Teeth are a non-issue when the baby or toddler is latched correctly, and no teeth are felt by the mother.
