Welcome back! I missed your content, but I think breaks are very important and necessary. You created a beautiful look, and its longevity is very impressive. I’ve never tried Smashbox foundation before. Lately, I have been wearing HourGlass’ and Chanel’s Les Beiges skin tint. It’s hot where I am, too. I try to look at it as another form motivation for trying to live right 😆.
You're so right about the heat!! I've been hearing really great things about both of the skin tints that you mentioned. And, thank you. It feels great to be missed. ❤️
I live in the Caribbean and I don't think we've ever reached triple digits during the Summertime, however with our humidity it definitely feels like triple digits though. Awesome review as always. I think the foundation looks really good on you and I liked how it held up during that heat. I will definitely give it a try👍🏾. Thank you for sharing Jwls💙.
I love your reviews. The foundation looks beautiful on you! Have you tried tranexamic acid to fade hyperpigmented areas? I've been using the INKEY List product in conjunction with their Alpha Arbutin.
Thank you! No, I haven't but I have been using Paula's Choice C15 Super Booster and have noticed a drastic difference. I don't use color corrector anymore. Thank you for the recommendations. They sound like they also do the job.
@Jwlsann Wow! That's great for the PC product. The Inkey List TA takes time, but is really gentle and does work. I'm about to try the Acure tranexamic acid because it also contains kojic acid. We shall see... Hyperpigmentation is such a pain. I have it everywhere there is constant pressure -- including legs and elbows. I can't use vitamin C on my face b/c I have a reaction. Also, I make sure toothpaste is completely rinsed off around the mouth as it can cause HP. Love your reviews!
That’s defo the wrong foundation shade for you! It looks too light and ashy! It doesn’t match on your forehead around the mouth or neck! Only looks ok in the middle of your face for brightening. You have gorgeous skin please review foundations that actually match your skin tone. We are over trying to look lighter!
I'm sorry that you feel this is the wrong foundation shade for my skin. I had hyperpigmentation during the time I filmed this video last year. I have since evened out my skin with Vitamin C and laser treatments. I was in no way trying to look lighter. I have battled colourism for most of my life so I would never try to look lighter than I am. If you watched until the end, you will see that I made sure to even out the foundation with other products to best match it to my neck, forehead and mouth.

Johnnel, I imagine it feels like the triple digits where you live. This foundation would hold up beautifully in that climate.
