The 2022 Saint rows probably won’t have the best storyline and character but the open world makes up for it
which sucks bc Im really big on story. Most games these days just rely on the gameplay it sucks tbh. Rockstar on the other hand going have a good story tho.

it still dead not near as fun or alive like it was a few years ago. The whole franklin and lamar dlc is trash and late. Maybe if they would've did the dlc in 2018 or something it would've been a big deal but nobody cares about that whole thing anymore. You can say they milking gta but I feel like they just taken they time on it. When it drops all these other game companies can say goodbye to they fans for awhile. Rockstar is lame tho for charging us for the same version game.
SR1 2006 was a great game. yes it was a copycat but had a different feel, detail, and pace than any GTA game at the time. the multi-player was fun as heck as I remember it. almost maxed out too

SR 2 is peak, but SR3 is my personal favorite, just because i completed it Co-op, it was buttfuck crazy fun

@@rgjcs2793 Unless you take note of their records. Most of them are former members of their respective gangs who are now working for your protagonist in the Saints Row Reboot (who you can customize to look like a gangster)

2 & 3 are definitely my favorites. I started with 2 amazing game
I hope it maintains a fun spirit of the 3rd and 4th but has the soul and gameplay of the 1st and 2nd, how they jumped from 2 to 3 was just awkward and I feel like in the midst of the studio being restructured they left the og players in the dust

I absolutely love the Saints Row games, and I'm looking forward to the next game! I didn't even know they were coming up with another, lol
I've heard a lot of bad things about the new game but most of it is just "not the same as saints row 2"

Because the characters look like dogsh*t and nothing compared to old SR characters and the trailer was "woke".
Most of animations look like recycled SR2 and SR3 animations so it doesn't really look good
The dialogue is ridiculously bad. Nobody sounds like a gangster, they all sound like generic voice actors trying to appeal to shareholders. They sound like Disney movie characters.

Saints Row 2 is not only one of the greatest games for the 360 but ever and actually compared with GTA then they seemed to think being compared to the greatest game ever(GTA SA) was bad thing

I remember playing this 5 years ago for the first time after waiting so long and 6 years ago I played the 4th game so much over getting 100% every playthrough that at the time even thinking of the story made me sick! I played it probably 15 times! I got sr3 a year after and LOVED IT I played it at home, at my grandma's house and even swapping gaming rooms! I played Sr3 then Sr4 and in a cycle until a year later I played a few cycles and everything was so burned into my memory that I could say every dialogue out of my head before it happens and I got sad everything felt like reading a sentence for the 100th time! I tried everything from playing with a different character to even trying to play stealth. Nothing worked and I sold SR3 and SR4 to my good friend! He loved it! but now my copies of those wonderful xbox games are probably in someone's home being played day and night or got shoved in a closet by someone. I got the pc version and am now going to replay this game for what feels like the 50th time or more...
Unpopular opinion, i really enjoyed SR3 & SR4 with my friends, they just aren’t Saints Row. They could’ve released them as a branch off of the SR series because it became way to funky, but they were really fun to play.

The only way your opinion would be considered unpopular is if you said they're great _as_ Saints Row games. I agree with your opinion too, and this is coming from someone who got into the franchise like a year or two ago after my brother got me interested. I had the expectation of The Third, 4 and Gat Out of Hell not being representative of what the franchise was supposed to be, along with the expectation of 2 being the best of the series.
Update: I'm also playing the games out of order because I'm impatient, lazy and have a short attention span.

Saints Row 1 felt like an Arcade Open World Sandbox, the more activities you completed, the more OP you got and better weapons were unlocked when you did those super annoying Hitman missions.
Saints Row 2 felt like a perfected Saints Row 1. Didn’t feel as much like an Arcade, but a proper Open World Sandbox. Same gimmick as Saints Row 1 but the activities were actually fun and don’t feel like a chore to do other than a few of them rather than a bunch of them in Saints Row 1.
Saints Row 3 streamlined everything and made a bunch of content utterly useless. Hitman and Chop Shop and some other activity had no reward attached to them. You just bought your way to being OP, which made the game easy and boring no matter what difficulty you played on.
SR 1 and 2 are some of my all time favorite games.

My brother and i lived 80 miles apart and we would play co-op and fight each other and gangs,police and the national guard all over the city of Steelport in Saints 3.

Saints row was interesting, I just wished the new game had extra cosmetics, brought back older characters, the way I see it is after the world was restored and someone was created to create the saints once again
There are gonna be a lot more customisation options in the new game, not everything was in the boss factory (which has some amazing creations) and that’s an amazing theory, I’m definitely taking that as cannon in my play through lol

you know listening to this trying to learn about the game series, it sounds like they took sims and gta and put them together, making it a crazy fun interactive world.
That's what SR2 feels like. You make your own character, buy and customise different houses and vehicles, with the open world of GTA. Imagine if they doubled down and made it so you could build houses and make multiple gangsters, in different open worlds and craft your own story like the Sims 4 but with guns and driving 🤯 I've always wanted a crime based RPG, Cyberpunk 2077 is my dream game but it's still really glitchy. Cyberpunk 2078 could be the game I've been waiting for 🤞

Recently replayed the row 1 and 2. Never played part 2 before and it honestly ended up being my favorite game ever, I even tried playing gta IV after to compare and ended up getting bored by the lack of content off bat to compare. I really wish that they bring the gang mentality back to the game. The game did a perfect job at glorifying the gang warfare especially with the wannabes that you have following you around and their stupid little comments. I know the new Row is probably gonna be all glam✨ like saints row 3 but please let me at least be able to give someone a left hook Larry without throwing me into some wrestling cutscene cause honestly that’s what really killed me. Devs made something as simple as punching someone a waste of time in my opinion
I remember that they made it like press rt or x, but if you missed there wasn't any problem that was my major problem, they should make the mistakes for them to contratack

Although there are some people who say this game is a plagiarism of the GTA game, but I really like this Saint Row game. Maybe it's true that the first Saint Row game was a plagiarism of the GTA San Andreas game, which at that time was the best and most popular game on PS2, but I think these two games are really good to play, really worth playing, and It is highly recommended to play the game, because the story of the two games is quite different, and the current Saint Row game is much better and good, because in my opinion the Saint Row game is an Open World Parody game, hehe.. 😁👍

Sr 1 was literally in development a whole year before San Andrea's was even released. Also the Saints were supposed to be green first as well before San Andreas came out. They never plagiarized gta they simply added a gang focused franchise into the open world crime genre.
It in no way plagiarises Gta. It’s it’s own series with it’s own spin. open world crime is a genre, we are aloud to have more than one game in that genre. This gta clone tag needs to die. Is every FPS a doom clone?

Some day I want the Saints Row team to have a collaboration with the GTA team (specifically the GTA4 team)
I want to see the immersive attention to detail of gta4 with the batshit insanity of saints row. Like I want to see NPCs behaving like real people but also I want to go around shoving a high tech gadget up NPCs asses turning them into rockets.
After the 2nd one released i was ready to say they could rival GTA then they released 3 and it all went way further down the hill from there than i couldve ever imagined. They went full on memes and ruined a masterpiece. Im replaying 2 right now and its easily the best in the franchise

Saints Row 4 was my first of the series. I LOVED IT!
The jokes, the customisation, and you can decide to play a shooter or a superhero game.
After that pearl of a game i bought Saints Row 3, cause everybody said, its the best. I was disappointed about it.
The Story was ok, the world was ok, but it missed some crazyness compared.
