Nah bro, you rip!! Time waits for no1 but maintain is just as good as improving as we age. You inspire me to surf more and try to get better 🤙🤙🤙🌊see yah in the next 1 dog
I just went surfing on my catch surf 8 ft single fin.then took out the body board and got shacked.59 yrs old still have all my hard boards.but having fun with the softies.maybe when I can surf more I will go back to the hard boards.just happy to get in the water
Don't be tearing no tendons, I watch your videos before i workout. You must be doing something right when a professional lifeguard is impressed with your surfing. He probably knows what good surfing looks like. I think you'll see improvements surfing with another good surfer - Aidan
@@chrism7354 definitely a fun board for any level and perfect board for a beginner. Here’s my review video of the board 🤙🏾 ua-cam.com/video/P8IGCzsuv44/v-deo.htmlsi=2a5uqv8hbHv6RHJ0
I'm 47 and am a born-again "beginner". I surfed almost daily in my twenties but then took a 20-year hiatus. As long as we're stoked it's never too late in my opinion!

Im 59, have been doing exercises/strength training on my hips long time. Stretch and ride bike best two things can do for us over 40's. Ride skateboard but no make joke , falling on hard stuffs change your life. Got to put the work in to stay flexible
Yes bra I stretch and abs religiously daily and gym 3 times a week. It’s the only way to have any skills at our age 🤙🏾 Glad to hear you still charging!
So, I take it you didn't rupture that Achilles but you did get a small tear/sprain? Hope so, at least. I never did rupture either of mine but I did get significant (painful) inflammation in both. Had to stop all aerobics (walk, run, treadmill) for three or four months. Frustrating, brah! Very slow to heal. At that time, I was in excellent shape, age 49, about the same age as you now.
Nobu, it's a slow decline after 50. That doesn't mean your surfing has to decline with age. Keep in shape, work of flexibility, strength and stamina. Eat right, drink less and keep hitting the waves!
That’s exactly what I’ve been doing since my 40s probably need to drink less beer, lol. Thanks for the comment and nice to know I’m on the right track 🙏🏾
I didn’t like the old Sushi but this one is pretty fun. I do agree with you on the Gerrys tho. Also I’ve had the 6’0” Catch Surf Skipper and it was super fun! 🤙🏾
Keep shredding bro, I am 61 and still feel improvement. "You don't stop surfing when you get old, You get old when you stop surfing"
Love it! 🤙🏾
Now that’s the quote right there !! I will remember that one 🤙🏾
If can, Can... if no can, shoot other video, we still watch. Don't worry about how well you surf. You surf! (And brah, you rip)
Super appreciate that Tom! 🙏🏾🤙🏾

Thanks bra, thats part of the inspiration of making the videos to hopefully inspire people to surf more and keep surfing in to their older years 🤙🏾
@@NobuSurf ya man, you're doin it!!
Yeah... turning 69 this year. Don't surf as much as I used to, or would want to... but have fun when I do on a 9' fun board. 🤙
@@tdtom1376 At least you still out there all you older guys are my inspiration 🤙🏾

Does the wierd leash placement bug you? I saw the first video you made with the board and the plug is so far forward.
I thought it might be an issue but I haven’t noticed it at all, no issue for me🤙🏾
You tried it twin fin yet? I just bought one of these boards but haven't got it out yet. One of your other videos convinced me to buy!
Nice bra! It’s super fun but takes some getting used to. I’ve only tried it twin on a couple of waves was super lose and blow the tail out 🤙🏾

Mahalos Justin! 🙏🏾🤙🏾
Is that board decent for beginners - intermediate surfers? I live in a coastal town with small waves and wanna try

Yep, still can!

If you are over 50 and can ride a 5'8", you go!
Really appreciate that! Exactly what I was thinking to myself 🤙🏾

I hate those things. I’ll stick with the Gerrys. I like CatchSurf’s short softies, though.

Lmao 🤣
You feel you're not surfing as well as previously? Dude, you're riding a foamie.
😂That has some to do with it 😂
