Your not supposed to be posting this everything we do is for a reason and is supposed to be kept sacred not just thrown around respect our culture even if its not your own

I'm sorry but have you seen the rest of my videos? Plus this was like how many years ago, I jus thought I could share, so others who are apart of this dance can remince the past and remember how fun that day was, jus like how I posted our dance in Mishungovi, I want others who didn't see our dance to watch on here, but if it's such a big problem why don't you go and comment on EVERYONES UA-cam who posted dances, I hope you won't get mad but it is worth sharing if you don't like it others do, besides at least it ain't like the Katsinas songs like how they are posted here on UA-cam now THAT'S a problem you should be bothering with, not these social dance videos 🤷🤷🤷🤷

@@augustwallace1719 It was made clear by our kiva chief that this was NOT to be posted if we recorded it was to be kept to ourselves this a special dance that we do not all the time like other social dances. Yes but it is still a big deal we take things very seriously and we have to respect what we do it is not anything to play around with i have notseen any other videos of this because evryone probably listened and respected the way we do things

@@yaivawesa well I'm sorry I didn't get an update on that part, at that time when I recorded it, nothing was wrong with it, and when I did share it, most of the related relatives left happy message and missed home, I couldn't help it if I felt pity for those who are not able to make it, and left it on here for them not jus me

@@augustwallace1719I’m not tewa but i’m sure these dances hold very sacred meaning to them and should be respected by obeying the way things are supposed to be, instructed by our elders, which includes not recording and posting these. Honestly any younger generation, including mine, isn’t familiar with how sacred and serious our ceremonies are, especially after technology and media exploitation throughout the decades. With that, these practices lose their meaning or take away that power we pray for. We just haven’t experienced everything yet and are still learning. However it is sad that some parents and grandparents are just as lost as we are and are very hypocritical, especially with sharing stories of what happens in a ceremony or selling items that shouldn’t be shared to the public. You have a valid point about why not all videos be taken down but unfortunately that’s how normalized it has become and soon whatever peace and respect these people took from them/it will come back to them like those who passed away. I know you want to share the memories with those who can’t attend and reminisce, however that takes away the beauty and respect and all our prayers that benefit the world lose its power. Have a good day:)
