    I had a mentally ill mother and alcoholic father . A very fearful childhood . I turned to alcohol as relief for a few years . Jesus helped me from that addiction . Many trials and they’re still coming but Jesus heals . 🙏🏻❤

    I am so glad that you mentioned Ray Comfort. My church's new pastor is a huge fan & I was very ANTI. (I grew up Catholic. I never really wanted to become a Protestant. It's complicated.) My husband knows I am offended by the anti-Catholic approach & I think he is also feeling the same way (he grew up "lightly Catholic" but he doesn't want to see other Christian faiths being called out at every church service.) I appreciate you & Estelle....& Scott Hahn & all the other former Protestants that are on fire for Catholicism. I will still pray for the unification of the Church.

    Thank you so much again for this explanation of the readings. I am one of those Catholics that never read the Bible much and I so look forward to these every week. I see I have to work on my weeds in the garden, God bless. This unpacking the Mass, really spoke to me.

    Great one, Keith. And a tough one. 65 year old Catholic here that has always struggled with parables. I am currently praying that with all the arcgeology digs that they find some early Christian writings to help clarify. Some of us seem to have a bit if spiritual deafness 😃 And, Oh my gosh, I just made a connection with something my mother said decades ago about the mustard seed. I am apparently the poster child for just holding on trusting Jesus and the message. We will all figure it out eventually. God bless.

    All of us are accountable.
    “I tell you, on the day of judgment people will render an account for every careless word they speak. By your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” ― Matthew 12: 36-37
    “Many will say to me on that day ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name? Did we not drive out demons in your name? Did we not do mighty deeds in your name?’ Then I will declare to them solemnly, ‘I never knew you.” ― Matthew 7: 22 - 23

    Dear Keith! You mentioned here what Jesus said about praying in public. How would you interpret that? What are your thoughts on public praying? Here in my hometown there is a lot of fuss about praying rosary at our public square. People often quote Jesus about that and I am not sure how to respond or what to think about it.
    Thank you for answering 😊

    • @KeithNester
      @KeithNester  16 днів тому +6

      I think it depends on the reasons why. If it's to draw attention to oneself for selfish purposes, then I am not for that. If it is to unite believers in a humble witness, then I think it's great. It's all about who are we trying to glorify, ourselves or God?

    There is a big discrepancy when an ignorant believer tries to interpret the Bible through their own judgemental lens instead of a former Pastor (Keith) or an ordained Priest that had to study theology in the seminary.
