I'm actually very curious now, how applicable is arlan in pure fiction under normal circumstances? You've outlined all the premium limited investment given in the clear, but as you mentioned the main thing of note in pure fiction is attack frequency, not attack damage, and the frequency doesn't change with eidolons. He could probably still clear out generic enemies with less investment right?

He probably wont have enough damage or speed without tripple harmony here
and running tripple harmony with Arlan is rng nightmare
There's no real reason to run Arlan in PF when Serval is right there and is infinitely better than him in that mode
The rng aspect of his kit is something that has plauged him for awhile now. Even in this video its not solved and there's probably a hundred failed clear during the process of making this video

Attack frequency is important BUT arlan still need enough dmg to one shot enemy with skill and ult (including side enemy in ult).

yes, this might be one Arlan showcase where you can theoretically get by with less, or even zero, Harmony eidolons
if Arlan has Longevous Disciple set, he could build more crit damage to make up for the missing harmony eidolons, while maintaining at or near 100% crit rate
you'd still need S10 Dance! Dance! Dance! and very good eagle pieces, though

It's fun, but if you add Bronya, he'll outrun shielding. Prob not an issue with Huo Huo or no sustain runs
Plus he'll eat his health faster
