Normally for public scripts like this the first one I hear is the one I like the most but in this case, your reading is the best one I have heard

I'm man enough to admit this now.
So at the tail end of high school, a girl outwardly, in a non-roundabout way, flirted with me over text. She called me cute.
Now me, being the shy funny kid, could not process that information. A girl flirting with me had quite literally *never* happened before, and I'll admit, I was freaking out. I even went to my Mom to ask what to do.
Well, how did I handle this situation dear reader? Am I about to explain to you how that was the beginning of a perfect love story and that we're married now? No. In short, I wasn't really that prepared for this situation, and in my panic I gave very one word responses.
Quite literally the next day during the one class we shared, I made some off handed joke which resulted in the girl asking me, "Are you gay?" And my response? "I dunno, probably." And surprise surprise, she stopped flirting with me after that. To be fair, I wasn't really into her, but instead of letting her down easy and, ya know, just saying that, I essentially told her I was gay.
And that friends is the story of how I, a socially inept dummy, absolutely botched that situation.
Oh no! but also that’s kinda funny!
I got a funny story too, when I was in middle school I was friends with this one guy and we got along really well. One day he confessed he liked me and I had no idea what to do or say and also I kinda wanted to know what it was like being in a relationship so I accepted it.
So we were dating for like a whole school year, this guy who I didn’t love took me on my first date, he took me to school dances, he took me to his sisters baby shower, it was pretty fun all things considered.
But sometime near the end of the school year he told me he was moving, so I took the opportunity to break up with him. I shouldn’t have don’t it in the morning because we were in the same class first hour. He was bawling his eyes out the whole time I felt so bad!
Moral of the story: don’t accept a confession from someone you don’t love
I'd love a sequel with this girl ❤
