Guys before u comment asking for things like motion tracking on 9 remember that it is a beginners software and that if you want pro features u need to get pro :)
Is it possible to start with one video+audio track in Filmora and then play it back and use it as reference to record the additional tracks (e.g., lay down rhythm track first, then play back and lay down lead track, etc.)?
FWIW I think the answer is ‘no.’ The only program I’ve found that let’s you do both is Acapella, and it’s pretty dang slick, but that’s only available in iOS.
Really helpful video thanks! I've actually recently bought Filmora for exactly this purpose for songs for church online and great to see your perspective on the best ways to make the vids! Your software is amazing, very easy to pick up for a near total beginner like me! One thing I'm struggling with is cutting these split screen videos. When they are cut, (e.g. at 1min into a 2min video) the default mode seems to split the video into 2 first halves of the video (e.g. 0-1min then 0-1min again), rather than the first half then the second half (e.g. 0-1min then 1-2min). Is there a way of cutting it so that the video separates like the 2nd way I've described? It would be great to use different split-screen templates according to when different instruments come in, without having to render full videos of different split-screen templates and then importing each of them into a new project and then cutting and re-arranging them like a normal video (which to me (as a beginner) seems to be the only way to do it). Thanks a lot!
Hi JJ, thanks for the video!!! I have a very very basic question, I’m just getting started with Filmora: When I’m trying to sync the video clips on the timeline, when I move one clip to match the other, the clip doesn’t get to the exact point that I want, it goes too far or it doesn’t get close enough. It seems that it only moves at a certain interval. Does that make sense? What am I doing wrong? Could you please help me? Thanks!!
Love using Filmora 9 and glad for the improvements being made. Suggestions: Please make a customizable split screen. I did a 20 cell (4H x 5W) and an 18 cell (3H x 6W) split screen manually. Got them made, but they were very cumbersome and time consuming to create. With social distancing, split screens will become more popular. Also, making the request again to have the "name" of the transition icon show up when it's used on the timeline. Figuring out what it is as an "icon" is not easy.
JJ - what is the easiest way to find out if I have the current version of Filmora 9? I keep seeing that there is a version 9.4 out however, on my Mac it is telling me I have the latest version namely, 9.3.6. Is it possible to have a link to a page on the Filmora website that has a timestamp list of all versions with their date of release clearly showing the "current" version numbers for both Mac and Android? And perhaps a short precis of what is new in each release. Thanks.
I'm confused with the lifetime purchase of filmora9 and the yearly subscription can you explain the difference? Do I miss features if I buy the lifetime version? whats the benefits to pay for a yearly subscription? thank you
Hi JJ. Thank you for the tutorial. I was wondering about the time length for split screen and also the amount of screens. Can we combine nine videos at a time? Thank you 😊
Hi, could you show us how to do them with transition and multi split screen ? For instance only 2 split screen in the beginning, and 4 or 5 in the chorus or bridge. The advanced split screen setting It is quite confusing for me to make sure it begins only in the chorus part.
Greetings! Hey i had same question since im using different cameras angles i want to do the same, the best way i came up with was: Once u have all your video tracks synced, create the split screen using the instruments need it, (Eg. drums, guitar and bass) have the whole screen split for the whole song. And once thats ready, export that whole split screen again and then import it later on, once you import it again, now you have the whole track to cut and paste in which ever areas need it (eg, chorus, solo etc). The only warning that have to say is, make sure you have those angles all set up in the split screen because once u export and import again, you will not be able to adjust individually as you would before. Let me know if this helped you.
Is there a way to get your whole video to the fill the screen? I'm trying to make one of these music videos following these steps and I don't like the way Filmora is cropping/centering each clip. I used the adjustment tools shown in this video so that you can see the whole video, but then I get black margins either on the sides or the top and bottom. I'm starting with just 2 clips, and someone's head is either cut off or you can't see their instrument, or I zoom out and then there are black bars in the margins. Maybe an aspect ratio adjustment setting? Or a vertically filmed video instead of horizontal? Basically, I just want to make a split screen video where each full clip is visible with no cropping and no black space/margins. Thanks.
