He's not the first gay person who I've heard say that it is not something you're born with and I believe he's right. I just don't think that all gay identity is born from trauma. Personally, I don't think that people are born with a sexuality but, rather, it is something that is cultivated in you through socialization and personal discovery.

His family knew they had predators within the family. When he said they make you “Sleep with the light on..” For him, he was groomed and that is sad apart of him sounds like he was robbed from being the man his father wanted him to be and that hurts him to the core, his inner child screams out “it’s not my fault” and all he really wants is his fathers love….

My degree is in psychology, I studied trauma and its affects of child molestation. I also studied world religion. Egypt is in Africa However it should not be viewed the same prior to Arab invasion and colonization. I can speak with absolute assurance when I tell you homosexuality runs deep within their nation. The elite prefers little boys. Other males of lesser class systems also Gr@pe little boys. I used to cry at the thought. Those babies have no protection and when these babies grow up to be promiscuous rather it be with make or female its almost always rooted in them being violated as children. The other option is to keep the sick cycle going by violating other boys...or girls. If a woman were to come out, her family would end her. I applaud him for being brave to tell his story because this isn't a topic discussed publicly. Just like catholic priests, it's their known hidden secret. They also are sexually unhinged and deviant in Dubai. I'm dismayed but not shocked the least bit. The Roman empire also practiced these vile acts. That's why yall gotta listen beyond what you "hear". The "Smart guy" breaks this down perfectly. I feel bad for him and never left vulnerable little boys outta my prayers. By the way these comments are displayed, im severely disgusted that yall are overlooking this man's generational trauma and hurt. BTW Chris..we rocking with you all the way✊🏾❤

I know plenty of LGBT people (me included) who grew up with good lives and just ended up liking what they like. Of course, we all go through hard times, but I never experienced anything that affected my sexuality. I just eventually realized I liked what I liked one day and continued living life. Ur right, not everyone has been touched, in fact most have been allowed to date too early (which leads to heartbreak earlier than normal, which can cause a pressured sexuality change) and most have lacked fathers and/or two-parent households which can also lead to sexual changes due to the fact that a large amount of parents don’t know how to instill the proper gender roles in their children.

i don’t believe that all sexuality is born out of trauma. The culture conditions people to be straight, so to break the mold could easily be based on your idea of what a man is. trauma can affect how you go about your sexuality, but i don’t think it determines which gender you like. You could’ve had a positive experience as a kid . For me, i saw someone that really intrigued me, where i thought “i love this person”. Gym culture is pretty gay. Wrestling culture is gay. Hypermasculine cultures in general are homoerotic and those dudes marry women. Some men are gay and adopt a heterosexual life until they get divorced and then they seek same gender relationships. Not all gays were molested.
