I do miss that voice. Hell I miss so many people and entertainers. I thought it was strange when my parents favorite singers would pass. How they got upset about it. But 40 yrs later I get it
For all the praise heaped on Waylon in this thread, no one mentions the dude was a whiskey-drinking, coke-snorting handful, particularly during his "Outlaw" days in the from the 70s into the 80s. They were married for over 30 years when Waylon passed, and many of those were financially tough as his daily, multi-gram cocaine use threatened to bankrupt the family's finances. It takes a lotta love for a marriage to survive such travails, which in my estimation makes Jessi eligible for spousal sainthood. There's more to the tale, but the rest will have to be researched by those interested in additional details.
Yep, I'd definitely enjoy a movie about Waylon's life, by the way the song is Jimmy Rogers, Waylon was influenced so much by that song that he did "Ain't livin long like this"
