I used to work at Trader Joe’s and we were definitely taught to make friendly conversation with the customers while ringing up their groceries. We were also encouraged to comment on the items they are buying. 😆 I really enjoyed my time working there. It was a fun environment.
Hey, I‘m German and our vanilla mostly is „Boubon Vanilla“. It“s just the type of vanilla. There‘s definitely no alcohol in it. You can use it just as any other kind of vanilla paste. It just has a slightly stronger flavor! Greetings from Germany ;)
I agree I don't drink alcohol but like Kim accidentally bought Bourbon Vanilla paste and it just has a stronger vanilla flavor!!!! It's kinda like u can use a tad less...very good!!

That Vanilla Bean Paste doesn't actually have Bourbon (the alcohol) in it, the Bourbon Islands is where they grow the specific type of vanilla bean they use for it. It's on the Trader Joe's website if you were curious ☺
I also accidentally bought the bourbon vanilla bean paste from TJ’s, and I love i! I cannot taste any bourbon flavor in my baked goods at all. I encourage you to try it before tossing it out…I really can’t tell the difference. 😊

Whenever we make a crumble topping, I melt the butter because it makes it more like a paste. Then it bakes to a nice crispy delicious topping! No powdery areas that didn’t get incorporated with the butter
This makes me so happy. You are the first American family on you tube, that I have seen using recyclable shopping bags. Most people in Uk used recycle bags. We have to pay around 50p for a plastic bag
I think the main difference between Aldi & TJ’s is cost. Aldi’s is a discount store. They are able to keep the items discounted is by removing the unnecessary frills (cart returns, baggers, music, decor) & keeping it simple. TJ’s goes hard the other way. 😂It’s less than Whole Paycheck but the prices are definitely nowhere near as affordable as Aldi.

There is a con to TJ's....I went to ALDI last Thursday and got a ton of food for me and some for my daughter & her family for around $250. Went to TJ'S yesterday and spent $90 for 2 bags of food. 2 bags!!!
I wanted to say the same , the prices are kinda high at TJ's .Aldi have organic food also but we have to be honest here , we all grow up ( depends on the Age of course ) eating non organic food and we are totally fine.
I also boil my corn on the cob as well but I also add sugar to the water to make sure it is sweet, maybe about a half cup but that is how I was taught. 😊

It sounds like yours turned out really well, but for a really easy peach cobbler, add a bit (maybe 2 tablespoons) of sugar and cornstarch to the peaches. Top with a white cake mix. Grate a stick of butter over the top (don't mix anything) and bake. It comes out perfect every time. Also, my favorite grilled veggies are a combo of tons of sliced onions, sliced peppers, and zucchini. Add pretty much equal parts of balsamic, apple cider vinegar, and oil. Add salt, pepper, fresh garlic, and oregano. Marinate for a little while and grill. I don't know why, but these are amazing!
In my peach cobbler I use peach juice from the can instead of water in the recipe. I also loosen it up a bit so the batter can pour over the peaches. Then I add melted butter to the top and sprinkle it with sugar and cinnamon before baking. It is AMAZING! Who can go wrong with butter and sugar, though? Right?

You did the topping for the cobbler correctly; cobblers have more of a biscuit topping. Crumbles are the ones that have the more crumbly topping. Also, there’s alcohol in most vanilla so the bourbon really won’t make a difference.

That is a good cobbler. It’s my quick go to. Just make smaller crumbles on top. I have never scooped it. I agree with alex

I make corn on the cob by letting water come to a boil, adding the ears and turning off the heat. The corn cooks perfectly.

I've done the McGriddle hack. It's really good. But make sure you get the thin big sausage patties. Then drizzle a little bit of syrup on it. 🤤

You did the topping for the cobbler correctly; cobblers have more of a biscuit topping. Crumbles are the ones that have the more crumbly topping. Also, there’s alcohol in most vanilla so the bourbon really won’t make a difference.

If you have a chance can you please mention that nail kit you got? I went back to try to find that video, but couldn’t find it in all my lady across the room videos! You have really been doing the most! I think you do more work at home than at the gym lately! All the cleaning and decluttering I know you speed up the videos so I also know decluttering takes a long time and is a lot of work then you have to deal with the aftermath of donating and sending to the trash and then my trash is so full I can’t get my regular trash in the can! You make it look so easy not to mention setting up the camera for all the angle’s.

Just made the almond croissants this morning!! So good!! Had them in the freezer for a while because the hardest part is remebering to take them out the night before to rise!
