It's funny how when a new mom doesn't have the expected response to her baby, we tend to immediately criticize and belittle her. If a new father doesn't, we don't really say anything. No matter how modern times get, women are still expected to instantly accept motherhood. For those who don't, their post partem depression intensifies from fear and ridicule.
You are absolutely right except for me when my brother wasn't doing things with his kid or to help his wife out I was on him like a fly on crap !! Yes, I understand what you are talking about, but this drama is depicting that she lied and manipulated to get what she wants. While the husband is actually the caring one in this drama.
If you love your child, don't let her be raised by such a person. If it's postpartum depression, let her get help before being active in the child's life. Its the most humane thing to do. Its no longer about you two no more, it's about an innocent life too.
Post partum depression is downplayed in Asian countries and can you imagine if you're a mum to more than the one you have? My sister was diagnosed but her supportive husband wisely sent their older 3 kids to me for 6 weeks. Brave act as they're from France and I'm in the states. She recovered.

I had it for literally six months and it was the hardest thing I had to go through I just wanted to be left alone!! I believe it was at the six-month point where she was crying and her father couldn't calm her down I got up picked her up and she automatically got quiet and started to coo!! And I snapped right out of it she is my greatest accomplishment in this life!! I never did anything so great before her and after her I've never done anything great she's the only thing I've ever done in my life giving her life was the greatest feet I ever accomplished!!! Everything fails in comparison to her so when I watch this drama I felt the pain of the mother and it saddens me that other women claim that she's the wrong doer!!!

But yes , they did struggle. She herself said , she didn't want the baby , n wanted to focus on her career. N because of that , he wanted the custody of the child , because he is a doctor n could take better care of the child . She knew that she wasn't fit to take care of the child, but Also didn't want to give the custody to the father. She is a self centred narrsacist woman. She even tried to frame her husband into a false case , by changing the baby food , n giving expired food. But was caught in the camera, n when the husband knew about it , he was going to use it in the court. But she literally begged him , not to as it will send her into prison n destroyed her career. In the end the husband forgave her. The husband was mentally and emotionally abused by the wife. She also misused the Law. But wasn't held accountable. This is a misandrist show , where every male characters are shown as a oppressor , n every female character is shown as a victim.
I am not condoning her horrible behaviour, but it's refreshing for once in c drama to have the husband be the doormat and on the receiving end of scheming.

That's bullshit. A friend of mine and I went through postpartum depression. Nothing like this and my friend's was extreme that I took her to the doctor. Who leaves to party when the baby has a fever 🤒? Fevers are especially harmful to infants. He didn't hit her. He did pester her but she was the one who didn't let him see his child. Everyone that watches this drama can't stand her. She blames everything on him. I'm sorry but she's horrible and selfish. You can't live without your daughter. There are levels of post-partum depression. In fact, MOST is. BUT. There are some cases that are more severe. Much more severe. In some cases, mothers lose custody of their kids because THEY CANNOT CARE FOR THEM. Wow. Brooke Shields (you know, famous actress), had horrendous post-partum depression with her first child. So much so that she described herself feeling totally alienated from her baby. She wrote (without a ghostwriter) an amazing book about her experience, thinking maybe she could help other families. Famously, after her book became a best seller, TOM CRUISE attacked her for seeking psychiatric care-since Scientology believes psychiatric care to be dangerous. The book is “Down Came The Rain: My Journey Through postpartum depression.”

The writer's put 4ward that that she has post-partum depression that leaves her unable to feel love 4 the daughter, etc., that makes her wish she'd not ever had the child, etc. She then, magically, pulls herself together enough to pull off gross manipulation & deception in the courtroom, not so much with the goal of taking custody of a child she doesn't actually love or feel bonded to, but rather- -to hurt her husband. He's not a doctor just an airline manager but had listened to complains from co workers about ppd. Immediately he asked me to take in the older 3 kids for 2 months. From France to NC. USA. School break of course I did with pleasure. My sister recovered. And our character is a doctor??? Incredulous!!

There's a clip on UA-cam where he followed his wife to her Apartments and he actually pushed her. Even if we say it was by mistake but it was vent up. Besides he was actually absent all throughout the birth process. His mother used to constantly pester this new mother
