I bring a cardboard box with me in my suitcase. You can pack it full of clothes or whatever on the way down. Then, if you need a place to pack breakables or things you don't want to get bent on the way home, but you have to put them in your checked luggage, having a sturdy box can come in helpful!

I’ve started printing the floor map and attaching it to my poster tube. I haven’t had to use it much but it is nice when I want to double check where I’m heading

We bring an empty full-size suitcase every year for swag, clothing and other things we we buy from the con. It works every year.
And we love your videos on these things. It helps us with our checklist.

A backpack is a must for CON. I use it for small purchases, drinks, and snacks. I try to keep my hands free while walking the floor.

I've used loungfly bags with an extra bag inside just in case I need it for swag or purchases. But 90% of the bag is snacks, water bottle etc so I'm set for the days

Same! I use a Tom Bihn messenger bag. It fits everything including my camera 📷 and extra bag (tote) for stuff I purchase

Great info! Just Subscribed. We finally got a badge this year after several years of trying. This will be our first SD Comic Con and we are excited. Are there people that for $money will stand in line for you? Being our first event, we don’t want to spend all day inline.

I'm sure if you paid someone enough they would... but I would never trust a stranger. They could be gone with my money the minute I walked away. And I'd never stand in line only to get paid later... so... good luck, ha!

Convention center food court food is expensive. My partner and I always get at least a pretzel each during the convention, but bringing your own snacks is a must if you don't want to spend a fortune at the food court. There are insulated lunch bags available for perishable items. Sun protection is also recommended, since outside lines can leave you baking in the sun and you will burn. a sun hat, parasol and/or sunscreen are recommended. Bring a pair of sunglasses to beat that glare in your eyes. Pack Band-Aids, antibiotics and analgesics, because between door frames, structural features and cosplay props bumps and scrapes can be suffered. If you enter Bandai's model building events, Tamiya cement is good for more than just sticking model parts together if you aren't careful with your hobby nippers and hobby knives. just apply a layer to the injury and let it dry. It's fine, Tamiya cement is thinned down cyanoacrylate, the stuff in Crazy Glue, first used in field medical kits during wartime.

Thank you for the video and for the valuable information! I was wondering if you had any tips or ideas for first time con visitors like myself that are travelling with young children? I want to bring a light weight/small stroller, and reading online I've found a lot of negative feelings towards people that bring strollers. Any thoughts? Thank you again!

Glad to help. We do not have experience with children at the show, so we’d hate to give advice with our lack of knowledge in the area. That said, this article has some tips and both of those who wrote it have experience in the area. We hope they can help! sdccblog.com/2024/07/guide-to-kids-in-the-con-tackling-sdcc-with-little-ones/

Probably should be monitoring the everything else beginning around 5PM on Friday. The time necessary can’t be known until all announcements are made, so we are far off from that but it’s probably a good time to start planning

I reuse from conventions past but amazon or comic books stores should have them in various sizes
