Good diagnose and repair.
Why didn't you mantain same capacitor specs?
I do think the old one was a bit low but nothing to worry about it.
I have a question for you, in this case you have the info on the motor, but if you don't have that info, what capacitor would be used?

I prefer to use higher capacitance value because the ball bearing we're using is not new. Besides to this, 83 watts motor should use 2uf based on my computation: Watts ÷220V x 2,652 ÷500Vac rating = 2uf. Thanks

I have a ceiling fan here from the 60s but I do not have any info about the motor, how do I know what capacitor should I use?
That's my dilemma.

@@teltras68 you can convert total winding ohms reading to watts.
Watts = Volts x Volts ÷ Ohms
