I bought a audi s3 8l about 6 years ago and the previous owner lost the key's for it so i bought 2 keys from eBay that i only managed to get the keys programmed to start the car but nobody in my country was able to program the central locking so I've been opening and closing the doors manually which is frustrating. I will be trying out your guide and hopefully get it right .
Yes this will help you! Just make sure to get the key with virgin chip and correct frequency. Then get the blade copied.

Thanks for the video much appreciated. I’ve run into a roadblock with the button adaptation and it won’t seem to connect with the car. It’s a cheap eBay fob but the number matches the original 1K0959753h and a blank ID48 chip are you familiar with this?
You can check this in a different area.
Open central locking controller (35), and go to measuring blocks.
Open channel 3, and in block 4 there are 4 zeros.
Using any remote, press and hold a button until one of the zeros changes to a one. If a 0 changes to a 1 it's communicating - just not matched.
The car will acknowledge any remote that is compatible with the car, regardless of it being programmed in.

Not in the R36. PQ35 platform has an evolved immobilizer which requires more sophisticated hardware and software.
Hi Ian, next time you're down in Melb I'd like to get you to use your VCDS witchcraft to code some keys for my S3 8L. I picked up some used fobs (same part number) still need to get the blades cut though.
No probs! You will need fresh RFID chips as the ones in a used fobs are already programmed. They are one write only.

So I have been looking and its not clear if you can use the VCDS to program a 2013 golf tdi. Is it possible to use the VCDS to program a new key fob in the 2013?
Hi James great question! Procedure is different with 2013 GTI but with the SKC it should be doable.
Obtaining SKC immo data CS etc is way harder on later model cars. You can't follow this procedure

when I tried to pair the key buttons to the car (audi a4 b7) the program doesn't seem to recognize any buttons when I hit "TEST". I have only one key, it starts the engine without problems, do you think I have problems with the CCM? I took the key to a locksmith and he tells me that the frequency is ok, what can I do? will I have to open the car only by the driver door forever?
Hi Antonio. Did you scan the CCM and instrument cluster for errors? Hard to say what's wrong that you can't use central locking without scans.

But I am getting codes 01128 - Immobilizer pickup coil d2 and 01314 ECU unauthorized. And no start (starts and dies) Was I supposed to also buy the immobilizer module? I have VCDS, what are my options? Thank You
Good question. Sounds like the immo coil wasn't plugged back in proeprly or damaged and no longer picking up the RFID in the key... Maybe double check that component first.

That's where you should be able to manually lock and unlock the car. Start ignition and press a button. Should pair.

This was a very long time ago. In my video for reading out eeprom I explain the other compatible cable. FT232RL chipset is what you are looking for.

Hey sir, do you need an original key or you can use it with a fake key? My central system got crazy and had to change it with another one that's not original and it came two keys, it's working fine but i'm super limited hence why i'm asking.
Good question. You can use with a copy key as long as the frequency is correct and the RFID immobiliser chip is new.
How to do this with a newer car (A3 2015), which has keyless start? There is no ignition slot to put the key in, I can't find any tutorials that cover this option, it's always putting the new and old keys in and out... Any ideas?

Hi Ian, I'd like some help. My 2007 VW Jetta Mk5's instrument cluster is dead so I'm thinking of replacing it with a 2010/11 VW Jetta Mk5 cluster (which is black & white, like the Scirocco). So provided that I'm able to read the EEPROM and the IMMO data (including getting the SKC) from my dead cluster's IMMO/EEPROM chip and copy that data then write it on to the new used cluster for the 2010/11 VW Jetta Mk5, would this method you are showing here work? They use the same IMMO 3 (with the car and a little key underneath) as the one shown on this video here. My car has been stationery for some weeks now
Hello. This process is strictly for Mk4 gen so will not work in mk5. There security is higher in the mk5 so requires other tools vs the one shown in this video. You'll need something like SMOK or ABRITES to work with your generation cluster.

Nah you have to make sure it's going to talk to your central locking module so it has to match the OG's part number. If you get any old key then it might not work with central locking.

Hello Josh. You should be able to scan the instruments / immobilizer and thatll give you a hint as to what's going on.
This procedure only works for the generation down from yours. To make a key for that platform you need a different hardware/softwsre set.

Good question - can't with this process. You need newer tools like ABRITES or similar.

Nah this procedure not suitable for the mk5. You need something like ABRITES to do that style

Hi George. There is no long coding on the mk4. You need to download the flash and update it. Happy to do this for you if you're in Aus 🙂

I was able to extract the SKC using kw1281test and with SKC I was able to program the immobilizer, now I have two keys that can start the car. \O/ . Now I'm having trouble configuring the remote control on central locking (Option 35), my car doesn't have/can't read the central convenience (Option 46). anyway, after doing the steps of reading channel 00, saving, then reading channel 01, testing and saving, a message appears to press the button on the remote, I press it and the car beeps, recognizing the remote. but the remote still does not open or close the doors on the remote. Hey Lauri's. That kind of sounds like your immobilizer reader coil is on its way out.
Checked for any errors in immo module or instrument cluster ?
Hello @@nefraw11 the coil reader is under all the steering wheel trim. Near the key barrel so it's near enough to the key fob immo RFID chip.

@@nefraw11 nope no need. It's just a reader so once you replace it it should just work again proeprly.
Also check your battery in the fob. Sometimes a flat battery can make it dodgy too.

Sounds like the new key isn't taking the adaptation. Are you sure it's talking to the module? You can check if it's receiving signal or not in one of the measuring blocks.

Original 2 key keys are available in my car. 3 key codes from aliexpres are the same, I got a new key, I coded the immo, the car works, but the remote doors do not lock, I am doing the same as you did in the video, I wonder if there is a difference between 2 keys and 3 keys?

As long as the system is programmed to all the 3 keys it should know to work with 3 keys. Maybe try procedure again for central locking.

I tried yesterday on my Touran 2007 with a Windows 11 laptop and a Chinese HEX V2 22.9 VAGCOM cable, but I get a "No ECU Found". Any quick fix?

@@korbep8803 that's what I mean by "too new". I don't think that cable works with eeprom programmer and the car itself is also too new for the program.
You'll need to find another way to get the immobilizer data (which is more than just the skc). After you have that you're able to do the programming with the hex V2 Ross tech VCDS program.
hello, I tried to use the China cable from ross tech and it was not possible to read the epprom of the panel, my key opens and closes the car, turns it on but I cannot use the controls. The key is not original and I cannot add another one using a spare key.
Most likely a limitation of copy cables. If you got a proper one you can do all of the function in this video :)

@@ianpgonzaga Just updating because other people can go through the same thing as me, I removed fuse 5 and 6, cleaned the contacts and redid the procedure to configure the key and it worked, only the lights and the horn that do not sound when it closes / opens. Could you tell me how to do it through vcds?

THEN you will also need something that will work with VCDS to do the Adaptation part.
