  • Here's James "Munky" Shaffer of KoЯn creating his "Synth Delay" TonePrint for Flashback Delay. Munky aimed for an unusual lo-fi effect -- a filtered delay that adds a squashed quality to the guitar sound.

I can't stand when people hate on Korn, yes head and munky can't shred.. But they know how to get a cool sound without being amazing..

GUITAR FREAK actually..they CAN shred...and solo..they just don't want to be like a billion other bands..

I rather hear some "out of the box" players than shredding..most people use anyways the same key notes

Everyone should watch their cover of Pink Floyd's The Wall. Munky really shreds on the solo part

I remember the 7th string was a 62 when they did follow the leader. it's a bass string I think. I used to put those strings on my 6 strings for low tunings.

anybody else notice he doesn't have the locking nuts on there? I know he probably has the tremolo blocked but still, that's the best part about guitars with tremolos IMO.

Does Toneprint mean that he creates a "own" signature sound which I can use buying this thing?
Sorry for the question but my english isn't very good and I want to know that I am thinking right ;)

I don't know why, but I feel that Munky is thinking "what kind of shit is this?", and "Man!, you're not getting what I'm saying about the fucking sound, shit!!!" ;) Anyway, as a Dj I find this pedal very interesting to live performances whit loops :)

You're point?.. Just because you learned Blind who gives a fuck, the point is the riff is incredible. I learned a dozen Black sabbath songs in my first year of playing guitar.. It's gotten to the point where if something isn't hard its no good with guitar. Trying searching some of koRn more technical shit from Follow the leader Life is peachy days... Many of those songs take a'lot of practice because they're just odd as hell to play.

so tc electronics throws these in front of these guys and they have no clue what it is or what the name even is? don't get me wrong, i have a flashback and love it, but i'd like to get toneprints from people that have used it more than 5 minutes.

Now it's getting to where you have to have a laptop just to adjust parameters on a stompbox...It won't be long before you have to have a laptop before you can take a crap. Then when you flush, a window comes up all, "You've committed a fatal error, this toilet has crashed..." Do we REALLY have to fix what isn't broken? Do we REALLY have to take what's simple and make it complex?

  • @gigimigi7900

So , you need delay to play those complicated riffs !

I agree on him being quite a good player, but I have the feeling most of KoRn's greatest riffs were written by Head.

You are not a musician , music doesn't need to be hard to be good.. Music is art music is being creative... People like you are posers, and i will put money on it you can't play nor get close to any korn tone..
