I began my coding journey with this video tutorial on 3/21/22. Waking up at 5am everyday to code for 2 hours before I go to work. I have learned so much from this video in the past 19 days taking it little by little. After completing this it just made me that much more motivated to dive further in.

Very, very informative. Dave covers a lot of code and shortcuts in a succinct style that most other coders don't cover. He articulates the lesson well, and his style of writing HTML seems very efficient. He provides a great little project that utilizes a lot of features as hands-on project development is the fastest way to learn any code.

Dave, I want to thank you sincerely for this tutorial. It cleared up a lot of issues I was confused about with HTML, especially concerning divs, articles and sections.
I coded along with you as you taught how to create the "My Goals" pages, but I did the taco project entirely on on my own.
I got it to work correctly, but when I then followed you code your solution, I learned even more. The proper usage of articles and sections became very evident. Plus your overall structuring approach is just what I needed to see.
    Thanks again!

Still, this content beats all the explanation given by other teachers online. I like the way how the entire videos is structured and how copious amount of information and knowledge is shared to slow learners like me. I would definitely recommend this video to anyone who wants to learn html from scratch. On top of it, thanks for making this valuable information free on UA-cam. Big Fan of your channel ❤.

UGH. I love this way of teaching!
    1. He keeps everything super simple for the average person to understand.
    2. He doesn't move too fast.
    3. He explains everything he does.
    4. Each chapter is fairly short, which is amazing!
    5. There are only 10 short chapters!
    6. The tutorial isn't 15 or 20 hours long like a lot of others.

Your teaching style is wonderful! I’ve started out with other courses (including those on Skillshare) and yours is, by far, the best. I like the speed you go and how you explain WHY you’re doing what you’re doing. I need that. Other instructors just say, “type this…” and “type that…” and I’m clueless as to the why. How could I possibly remember what, if I don’t know why? Anyhoo, I’m a few days into learning html5 and I feel like I’ll actually be able to stick with it because of your videos. (I tried learning XHTML years ago but gave up because I thought I just wasn’t smart enough) I now believe I AM smart enough and I plan to move on to other languages after I’m more confident in HTML and CSS. Thank you so much!

    Dear Dave,
Today I just started to watch this tutorial. And I must say that this is one of the best tutorials ever made for beginners on the internet. Though, I've only completed chapter three. But surely, I'm going to finish this tutorial.
So, please let me thank you from the deepest part of my heart.
    Love from Bangladesh

2:54:30 Tips and explanations like this helps me to stay focused. %95 of the tutors would tell you that you should change your attribute value to tel if its for phone number without explaning what is the difference between tel and num and how they behave. But a 5 second explanation makes all the difference. Thank you so much Dave, you saved me from tutorial hell

Great work sir. I have a quick user manual for this video, this video is about 4 hours but the best way to use it is to pause it block by block and type it as the instructor is doing it. also pick up keywords like block level and inline elements, escape sequences, attributes, values and then look up in chatGPT for similar thing ex.   , < , > etc. This worked best for me. It took me 4 hours to cover the first 40 mins of the video but trust me Now I can confidently say I understand HTML. Do not watch the video at one stretch and expect to learn html, I had tried it earlier twice and failed. Once again.. Thanks for the great video.

Thanks for this tutorial! Followed it all the way through over the course of a week, and the having a project at the end to put it all together was an amazing tool to help solidify the knowledge! Just wanted to really say a sincere thanks for all the time and work that went into producing this content that is accessible for free. As someone who works full time and is just learning to code "for fun" I am seldom able to actually pay for courses. Without people like you and freecodecamp putting out content like this I wouldn't be able to learn these things. Not only is it awesome that this is free content, but it is really presented in a great format, you are a great teacher!
Looking forward to going through CSS next, and hoping (and assuming) that you have a javascript one as well?
