So Kamaru can call himself part of 3 king's but when Henry jokingly says Dricus is a King, it launches Kamaru into a 5 minute race victim diatribe. Seems like privilege to me
Pathetic but not surprising. These guys really have a problem with DDP being a white African. And I get it, Im not oblivious to history, but the dude was born there, he did not invade the country, he did not own slaves. Hating on people because things their great-grandparents may or may not have done is wrong and pathetic. I'm sure kamaru's ancestors weren't all nice people either but we don't hate on the guy for it.
Daaaamn, as a South African, American black people play the victim and race card HARD. I've been in the States for 3 years, so this is not just from this video or a tourist perspective. Dricus never made it about race. Izzy did. Watching Joe Rogan reaction, the black guy can't help but slam Dricus with words like apartheid etc. White people have been in Africa since 1652. Dricus is truthful in everything he said. You should see the black people cheering in South Africa for him. They see a fellow South African, not black or white.... But go ahead, typical Murica to bring race into everything.
You have no idea man. It’s getting worse every single year. 5-10 years from now people will hear things on the news they could never imagine would be said.
Dricus didn't say he was the "true African champion," he said he was the first African champion to become champion training solely out of Africa. Usman, Adesanya and Ngannou all trained in first world countries. That's the difference between DDP and the three kings.
Reporter Asked: "This time last year, 3 African Champions. That has obviously changed. Does it bum you out that there won't be as much gold when and if they go back to Africa?" D.D.P: "Did those belts ever go back to Africa?" Continues to make a African Champion definition that requires to be currently living in Africa. Which by making, excludes the 3 Prior African Champions. He literally said they are not African Champions with that rant then went back on it, changed his narrative to a defensible one.

100% true on Francis, but as a french speaker, Ngannou has an accent from France and not one from Cameroon like some immigrants here. Same as izzy's NZ accent and Usman's US accent.
I don't get the confusion here because Adesanya and Kamaru were the first ones who showed us that an African can become a UFC champion, but they did it training outside of Africa, while Dricus is the 1st African champion that resides in Africa, this is more motivating for us who reside in Africa that we don't have to leave Africa to achieve being a world champion.
Because as kamaru said many edgy twitter racists use this to say dricus is the "real african" out of them because hes white they dont even believe that but they say it to piss kamaru and izzy off
Kamaru got wayy too salty during that debate, props to henry for standing his ground and thinking logically and reasonably regarding the difference between heritage and where you grow up.. hard pill to swallow for many
Usman couldn't handle that the proclaimed African King is white! Sorry but that is being racist from Usmans side! If Dricus was black and Henry named him the African King, there would of been zero debate! And whats this crap about the 3 kings being the 4 horseman now?? Sorry once the three kings lost their belts, they aint the 3 kings anymore! Dricus is on his own now as the AFRICAN KING! Sorry its facts!
I left Durban for the UK when I was 19. I have always, and will always be South African. Izzy and Usman are NOT African. They do not act African, they do not sound African, they are only African because their parents are African. Francis is African, that man always claims his continent. He goes back to Africa and supports his people, donates money, does what he has to do. These 2 jokers will claim whatever they can just to make money. Snakes!
Yessir. I don't blame people for leaving for better opportunities but there's something special in making Africa a place that is more than just somewhere to escape from. That's special. Otherwise Africa will never rise from the dirt.
Thing is Dricus was never wrong with what he said. The fact is Israel Adesanya wanted to fight Dricus to diminish his Africanness but he's the only one to be born in Africa, raised in Africa, Trains in Africa, Coaches from Africa. I can tell you right now if it was a black man who said what he said their wouldn't be any controversy. Infact he would be celebrated
Leon Edwards said he was the first British Champion because he won the belt while fighting out of the UK, and Bisping before him won it from America. Nobody complained
yep, best part was Dricus showing all the arrogant racists the true reality, especially racist side of Izzy. Shame on kumaru and may he suffer a vicious knockout to wake the old fool up into reality. Dricus said he is the first African true champion, he already has stated several times what he means exactly and anyone believing otherwise are just showing their inner racism towards whites.
Kumaru says one thing but means the other "not trying to perpetuate hate", but also he is unwilling to listen to a single of the hundred podcast Dricus has been on where he specifically has stated his point which is entirely non-skin color based. Only the haters and closet racists took it that way.

So people born in Nigeria or Cameroon don’t have the same facilities as people born In South Africa. That’s what people don’t understand. So there’s nothing wrong with moving out to improve if your government is azz. Just like ddp has to come out of South Africa to fight in the ufc because there’s isn’t a mma organization just like that some people have to come out of Africa to have better jobs. @@prettycoolhuh747 I think that in the case of DDP it applies perfectly. "I never said that I would beat Izzy, I said that I would win the fight, those are two completely different things" - Dricus Du Plessis probably.
I actually think people are being unfair on Kamaru. He's not saying DDP isn't African. He's got an issue with the "king of africa" narrative. He believes they are the "four horsemen" without a need for one to be named king, or raised above another. He's right, in fact. They are all African. However i do agree with everyone when it came to Izzy taking it way too far, but izzy is incredibly unhinged. He needs therapy.
Kamaru playing the "victim" card and saying how different races get treated differently in America is the most hypocritical thing that he could have said. No one forced him to move to America to chase his dreams of becoming one of the best fighters the UFC has ever had and making a very comfortable life for himself and his family. Hes probably got more money than he could spend in a lifetime... Man i feel so sorry for him. It must have been so much better in Africa with all the chaos that goes on over there.
You know, living in the free world doesn’t mean you have to feel great about being treated like shit. Morality does not care how much there is in your bank account.
First of all this is wild to say, there is a reason why some of these countries are poverty stricken and the way they are. That’s quite a deep long road to take to explain this so I won’t, but especially with places like America and Britain people legally coming to look for a better life should be able to feel comfortable and welcome. Ur saying no one forced him to move to America is jumping over the fact that *No one* should feel in danger because of their skin colour.
I want Kamaru to name 1 time he was abused by the police😂 Never. Police do their job, if you get stopped or caught doing something wrong, depending on the severity, your treatment will vary depending on the officer, not depending on your skin color. Some can be more lenient than others but there is no special treatment, white people get speeding tickets and fines too Kamaru😂
I agree with Kamaru…people need to stop looking at race here and just look at Dricus as an African champion, which is what he is. He is of French descent, but the dude is South African born and bred.
Henry was completely wrong with his with the “African King” comment. He was playing naive when it comes to equality in countries that are melting pots.
It really is a pity that Kamaru still doesn’t get the point DDP was making. He is not criticising the other African fighters for leaving. Hundreds of thousands of South Africans also leave for better opportunities over the world. He was critical of them NOT returning to Africa after they achieved success to help build MMA here. Yes it instills national pride to have a world champion, but the impact is limited. Having a champ in your local gym lifts EVERYBODY. Other fighters work harder. They follow and copy the work ethic. Fighters and wrestlers travel to the champ to test themselves. Money and investment follows. THAT is how you grow MMA in Africa. DDP loves MMA, South Africa and Africa. Anybody that lives in Africa knows how it gets under your skin. It is always a part of you. He is giving his everything to grow MMA here. Africa has so much potential and needs those that have made it to help lift the next generation of MMA stars up. It’s not fair, and it’s a criticism that is often levied against those that rise out of poverty and into the middle class or extreme wealth that they abandon those they left behind. So it is understandable that it hit a painful nerve with Kamaru, Izzy and Francis. But it was never racial. That was just a defensive coping mechanism because the truth hit a little close to home. They attacked the messenger and not the message.
DDP is the only who was born, raised, and learned MMA and continues to train and live in Africa. Kamaru and Israel fled Africa, and learned wrestling and MMA in American/ NewZeland. And they still live in American and New Zealand.

Kamaru Usman in full blown victim mode. I'm a little bit disapointed that Henry took his BS without too much contra. Kamaru presented himself well as a champion, but after that, he fell off a cliff and became a cringe racist.
100 percent agree
Racist? Seriously? In what state do you live in? Can you honestly say there is no biost based on the the color of your skin?
Yes; choices are choices, we have to deal with the aftermath of those decisions, but unfortunately what he said was fact.
@@joshmowry6514affirmative action, diversity quotas, student loans only for certain räces, DEI, etc. It’s literally an advantage😂
Usman's was racist as a champion too. He said to "always bet on black" when fighting Colby, and when Leon KO'd him he said, "At least it was another black guy that beat me" (paraphrase).
Henry is clearly walking on eggshells alot because kamaru is so sensitive.
Man I love how ruthless they can be and still get on. Love their friendship and banter.
Henry brought up Dricus being king of Africa and Usman went on a whole life lesson like a parent lmaoo
We all know very well the racism that DDP would of received if he had lost.
Now, after he won, everybody want to have a civil conversation suddenly.
Kamara is talking as if Dricus hasn't been a victim of racism in the lead up to the fight.
Dricus has handled it all brilliantly, brushing everything off, and doing his talking in the octagon.
Congratulations Dricus.
I'm so impressed with how most South Africans, from all walks off life have united behind our boy.
Proudly South African, stronger together, forever.🇿🇦💚🏆

Which he deserves. He needs to be respectful & say he's "European Afrikan" because what he's doing is what modern day Egyptians did before they took over the land. They got rid of the original people & stole their identity!!

Kamaru says he's from Nigeria, but he's actually just a racist American 😂. What you said about drivus was inacceptable. If someone said that Kamarus not an American, because his family is not grom their, he'd cry about it for years.
I liked when Dricus said: I don’t grapple to win rounds. I smash people or submit them, I don’t hit mits every day to out style or out point someone, I want to knock them out! He just throws everything in what he does, that’s why he looks less technical.
I think he beats Pereira too.
Yeah you’ve never been in a fight🤣
From a fly white guy in Cape Town South Africa this was a great conversation to listen to ... Well done CCC on not bending the knee :-) - Shalom
Dricus is the REAL AFRICAN KING 👑
What Dricus said is just facts. It was never about race, Adesanya made it about race. Dricus already clarified exactly what he meant and he is the only champion and only champion so far to be born in, raised, train out of and reside in Africa. Period.
So many people want to hear whatt they want to hear. He literally said that makes him the only true African champ. Use ya brain mate
@@kierangenius2420 He clarified what he meant by "true" as in: born there, raised there, trains out of, and lives in Africa. No race mentioned. Use ya brain mate.
that doesnt make him african no more than the irish guy born in american is native american....
@@breakupgoogle You do realise he's African by nationality right? again, no race mentioned unless it's salty people like you trying to make it a race thing. Black people get handled with kid gloves in America. This was a low IQ take by Kamaru.

DDP also still lives and trains in South Africa which I think was his point. Where as the previous African champs had the benefit of the resources and training from other countries, DDP's entire team is from Africa so that also shows the growth of MMA from the African continent.

He isnt lying though
You know, living in the free world doesn’t mean you have to feel great about being treated like shit. Morality does not care how much there is in your bank account.
First of all this is wild to say, there is a reason why some of these countries are poverty stricken and the way they are. That’s quite a deep long road to take to explain this so I won’t, but especially with places like America and Britain people legally coming to look for a better life should be able to feel comfortable and welcome. Ur saying no one forced him to move to America is jumping over the fact that *No one* should feel in danger because of their skin colour.
Not only skin colour but anything that’s literally harmless and out of anyone’s control
Best MMA pod out. Love how yall cover the whole main card

I agree with Kamaru…people need to stop looking at race here and just look at Dricus as an African champion, which is what he is. He is of French descent, but the dude is South African born and bred.
Actually everything is perspective, DDP never disrespects, he is talking about the only African fighter living and training there.
Exactly. Not difficult to understand. Usman and Izzy just sensitive because they know he was right....they do not live and train in Africa.

Henry was completely wrong with his with the “African King” comment. He was playing naive when it comes to equality in countries that are melting pots.
💯
ddp is the king of africa now
It really is a pity that Kamaru still doesn’t get the point DDP was making.

@@twistedpistol5847 All due respect ✊🏿 and I love my Hispanic/Latino friends and etc. But, you are not qualified to speak on issues pertaining to Africans and Africa. You have your struggles and Africans have their own. This is one of the reasons why these conversations keep escalating. You have people that don’t understand your culture, history, struggle, etc trying to dictate or decide how you should feel or believe. It doesn’t work like that. You can have a non-victim mentality but still be systemically oppressed. I agree with that mindset to an extent, but it’s very surface level and untrue at the same time and disingenuous. It’s something that probably wouldn’t be said face to face or out loud in a group of said people.
@synchronis346 If you read my comment appropriately instead of reacting emotionally you would’ve seen that I said I agree with you to an extent. I never played the victim card but realized that the world does treat certain people more favorably than others. I’m also apart of said group that you’re commenting on and you are not. Technically, I do have a degree/specialty that’s centered around mental health and I’ve grown up and worked with kids of different backgrounds that have struggled to find their own way in life and helped them as well.
Also, I do work hard. I make six plus figures and have multiple degrees. I am happy and satisfied with my life and I’m able to give back to others and serve a benefit to society greater than myself. I hope you learn to change your perspective and become more open minded and understanding of perspectives other than your own.
