▪ *C'est quoi un "ratio d'aspect"* _(aussi appelé "rapport d'aspect")_ *?*
Le ratio d’aspect est une notion qui s’applique à tout objet polygone à 4 côtés (quadrilatère) positionnés pour être observés avec un côté horizontal et un côté vertical : écran vidéo, feuille de papier, photographie, etc. Quand on donne les dimensions d’une image, on donne d’abord la dimension horizontale, puis la dimension verticale. Ainsi (10 cm)×(15 cm) est une image en orientation « Portrait », tandis que (15 cm)×(10 cm) est une image en orientation « Paysage ».
Le ratio d’aspect est le nombre obtenu en divisant dimension horizontale par la dimension verticale.
▪ *Comment calculer le RATIO pour obtenir la bon format, afin de faire un origami avec n'importe quelle feuille que vous avez sous la main.*
Pour trouver le ratio (rapport d'aspect) il faut d'abord faire un calcul avec le format indiqué, généralement en cm, dans les instructions. Le calcule du ratio est simple, il suffit de DIVISER la HAUTEUR d'origine par la LARGEUR d'origine.
Ici, dans la vidéo, on vous dit qu'il vous faut une feuille de 29,7x21cm. Donc divisez 29,7 par 21 et vous obtenez un rapport (ratio) de 1,414.
Ensuite, pour calculer le format (taille) que vous devez avoir avec la feuille que vous avez sous la main, vous devez faire une multiplication du ratio (1,414) avec la largeur de votre feuille. Par exemple, si j'ai sous la main une feuille de brouillon (feuille déjà utilisé, que je recycle pour écrire du côté encore vierge ou pour faire des bricolages) qui fait 13 cm de largeur. Alors je dois multiplier 1,414 x 13cm = 18,38 cm
Je dois donc découper ma feuille (de 13 cm de largeur) à 18,38 cm de hauteur, afin d'obtenir la bon format pour faire cet origami.
*En résumé, vous devez diviser la hauteur d'origine par la largeur d'origine (pour obtenir le ratio) puis multiplier le nombre obtenu (ratio) par la nouvelle largeur pour obtenir la nouvelle hauteur.*
