I love these videos, been inspired to make a necromancer for my new group. Have to say that Horror Adventures has some *very* nasty spells as well. Boneshaker might even be too OP. 3d6 damage, plus 1d6 per 2 caster levels? Yes, please.
I remember completely ruining a DM's plan for a "Boss" fight of sorts with Ray of Enfeeblement. I had scored a Nat 20 and the group and I were trying to figure out if Ability Damage can get that x2. It ended in favor of it critting, on the ground that it required an attack roll, and usually spells with attack rolls have a x2 critical. I did like 16 STR damage and this guy was in heavy armor with a 2hander. He was a human too, he was effectively shut down. But the DM decided he didn't like that one bit! This was a hyped up boss, and he was 1-shotted by the weakest, most hated member of the group. Next turn the noble we fought who has no known history of spellcasting managed to teleport out of the room, and heal the damage and return very quickly, stronger then before! He managed to overwhelm us...singlehandedly, a 5v1 fight, but gave up as soon as his kid was in the crossfire.
I pissed my dm off with that one. Cast it on the enemy barbarian. -6 con then hit him again the next round with - 6 str then 3rd round intelligence. That one made him have a 2 int . from a 20 con to a 14 from an 18 str to 12. He was about useless as a tank. Out fighter finished him off fast.
Just one note, Ray of Enfeeblement DOES NOT do strength damage, it gives a strength PENALTY, which doesn't stack, only overlaps with other strength penalties (like itself).
What of a necromancer that focused on souls and using the Art to build his own life force and manipulate others through their souls versus the manipulation of dead bodies?
RE: Chill Touch A touch from your hand, which glows with blue energy, disrupts the life force of living creatures. Each touch channels negative energy that deals 1d6 points of damage. The touched creature also takes 1 point of Strength damage unless it makes a successful Fortitude saving throw. You can use this melee touch attack up to one time per level.
Not the only mistake. For instance, Ray of Exhaustion causes exhaustion, not 1D6 Str and Dex damage and Touch of Blindness causes Blindness for 1 round once per round, not the same as 1 round/level.
Thought first that it might be that he remembers rules from 3.5, but no, same rules under 3.5. Maybe he got it at lvl 3 and noted it on some sheet as having the according three uses without increasing them on later levels?
How magic jar kills you is beyond me. If someone else's soul is in the jar, and yours has taken a body, wouldnt they be the one to die, while your soul is just stuck in soandso's body until you magic jar again or die?
i know it is late but you made some mistake in your video : -ray of exhaustion doesn't inflict ability damage : paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/coreRulebook/spells/rayOfExhaustion.html => it does inflict faitgued/exhausted that impose penalty to strength and dexterity but it cannot reduce an ability score below 1 and don't stack with themselve -negative levels give -1 to everything, not just attack rolls : www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/special-abilities/#TOC-Energy-Drain-and-Negative-Levels and seriously, inflict wounds spells are completly inefficient as offensive spells (maybe inflict light wounds against 1 hd ennemy can work but beyond that) they deal too little damage. They are only useful for healing your undead minions. Wait for the harm spell to deal massive negative energy damage
I don't agree with what you say on suffocation : it is a save or die, period. If the target needs to breathe and fail it's fort save, it is screwed. Unless someone dispel it before the target turn, it is at 0 hp. K.O
Ah Zant. They built you up and then they turned you into a pussy. And then the game was hijacked by Ganon. Well, it's not like I didn't see it coming, considering I saw him, but I hoped. I hoped Zant was gonna be the final boss and an awesome one. Shame he wasn't.
I have 2 question's, one revolving around 3.5 D&D - being that "Pathfinder / D&D are Compatible's"......and the 2nd question which I'll ask first. "!?!" 2 - Touch attack's - does a player have to physically touch a target or does the target have to be just with-in a 5ft "REACH"...the reason for this question is near as obvious as the expected answer. When combating ANY FOE with a short sword / sword period, the weapon + the Wielder (in all reality [ even-though this is fantasy]) should never present such an issue vs. the spell (outside of...say "Mage Hand").... The average reach of a Human is roughly 3ft and adding a "Standard sword" of 27inches in length, would add additionally another 2.5 (near 3') foot reach. This would make the "Sword Wielder's" threat-range just under 10', yet......most game grid's are in 5' increment's.... Can you help me understand this pondering question...??? "!?!" 1 - 3.5 (TRUE NECROMANCER - Libris Mortis {Book of the undead D&D} pg. 51) --- The "True Necromancer" is a prestige class that combines' both Cleric & Arcane caster's with out multi-classing once prestige condition's have been met. In Pathfinder & D&D 4.0 / 5.0 I've seen element's of this class but not the class itself reemerge (so to speak)... the ???, Can a "True Necromancer" be made for "Pathfinder" specific...?? ""I'm already aware that PFS would never allow -- Alignment issue's (for which I personally disagree with vs. the CRB) -- yet a Necromancer via French / European & Middle Asia religious order's of the past to current are the "Care Taker's" of Grave's and Catacomb's...so why is (as this is the 2nd part of question 1) Necromancy considered an EVIL Alignment vs PFS??? Hope to hear from you ASAP, and Thank You...
2. According to the game manual a melee touch attack is just touching the target. It doesn't really go into how exactly. Whether it's a requirement to physically touch the opponent or you just need to be very close. Some attacks like Shocking Grasp gain bonuses to hit when the opponent is wearing metal armor, so maybe physical contact isn't required. 1-3.5 I believe that necromancy is considered evil because it desecrates the dead. Whether or not that's a factor in the game is up to the DM. It's ultimately up to his opinion.

Horror Adventure looks really cool. I want to pick that book up at some point.

Sounds like a bad GM.
Bestow curse , oh man the options of an evil cleric

Masochistic shadow is also a rather nice spell. specially if you just want someone to suffer
Hei dude nice job on the video. But i was woundering if part 3 is coming out soon ?
I really need to finish that. Sorry to keep you waiting.
np man it's all good :D
What of a necromancer that focused on souls and using the Art to build his own life force and manipulate others through their souls versus the manipulation of dead bodies?
Can you do a necromancy guide for Pathfinder 2nd edition just like the multiple videos you released for Pathfinder first edition?
Yes, I'm planning on it.

Yeah. I'mm not sure where he got the "3 times per level" thing.

Let the Corpse Dance continue!!

It's a very strangely worded spell. I think it all has to do with the time limit and where your soul goes. :-P
D6Damage its down to the dm tbh though
whens part three coming?
Sorry, I've gotten a bit side tracked, but part three is coming.
IS there way to have army of swarm? Undeath or live.
+Tomasz “Tom” Huber Try this summon swarm and permanency or see if your DM will let u craft a wondrous items that releases a swarm
A Druid could work in theory, if your Wild Empathy worked on vermin then you could rear them with handle animal. In theory.
Was that a sand wraith at the start?
Yes it is :-)

Was an undead necromancer sooo......
Chill touch myself
A lot of Destiny imagery
The hive stuff fits necromancy so well.
D6Damage I know! keep up the great work!
False life 1 hour per caster level

It's a shame the console Zelda games only have one real villain.
D6Damage Indeed
