March 8, 2023. I have really missed this song like mad. I remember when I was in Primary 3 in 1995 at Federal College of Education Primary School here in Akoka, Lagos. My school along with other schools were invited for an event and to our surprise Daddy Showkey came out of Nowhere and we screamed in Joy seeing Daddy Showkey and my classmate then, Olumide was really good at dancing to this song and he challenged Daddy Showkey on stage to dance with him and all the schools present there pointed to my classmate Olumide to be the winner because he danced to the song so well. Pure nostalgic feeling. Old but GOLD.
Our generation is blessed.. this Marlian kids will never know what it feels like to play this song on the street of Lagos and everybody turning up, Gone are the days I miss 9ja everyday
Very true. Especially in Zambia. This song played just before the news. And we would literally wait for the song like the way you wait for food. Crazy.
Glad I found this song, I have been looking for it for many years now, I didn't know the title when I was a little boy, just heard it play on komboni radio, and I looked it up. It used to make me so happy whenever it played on ZNBC back then.
