I love that Sam did at least three distinct characters during this call and no one noticed the shifts.
Scammer called my son about his accident , His reply YES I DIED. Scammer continued asking if he wants to claim damages
My son said no just funeral costs ,Scammer hung up
I'll remember to do that. I get these ppl all the time but I sent no money or anything but I got a Italian friend on Facebook who called him n threaten him with FBI he goes by a real person named Steve or Mason Kalfman. I noted he misspelled Kalfman with Kaulfman by mistake I found the real guy. N Google this names.

When they told me step by step what to do, I gave them the address of a Walmart two towns over.

And your phone number. I can't believe anyone would be foolish enough to fall for this crap.

Government of India should be held responsible for not dealing with the massive amount of these scams in their country
Thing is, from what I heard on a channel that covers this stuff, is that these scammers can pay off the police over there to look the other way. So I imagine it makes it harder for government people
I don't think they care because they benefit from the scams. These people scam money from us and then spend the money there and it recirculates in their economy creating tax revenue among other things. I imagine if they were to stop the scams that it would impact them to some degree. I have a feeling they successfully scam many people.
Most of these happen in places that govt. can't figure it out.

I'm an Indian and I can tell you we are tired of these scammers ourselves! The worst part is that people fall for this kinda thing!
I was at the bank the other day, and a guy comes in to fight with the manager because according to him, the manager called him for his account info and whisked the 1.2 million₹ he had in his account. The manager then explained that the bank sends out a letter in case of any discrepancy and gives about 2 weeks or a month to respond. Anyway, this guy lost his money. But this guy isn't the only one. I know people who have lost even upto 10 million₹ and despite repeated TV advertisements on how to beware of scammers by the various banks in our country, people fall for this BS.
I get at least about 5 calls in a week, and for various reasons. Sometimes there's a discrepancy with my savings account or the 'loan I applied for' or whatever. And even though I'm not, I say I'm a college student, or I don't have a bank account. The guy hangs up on me the very next second! 🤷🏻♂️
Harsh Mahatme Iagree wholeheartedly. It’s their own fault that people fall for this stuff. Check out anything that asks for your money. Listen to the warnings.
