Possibly my favorite performance of any gaither homecoming video. I don’t think anyone is standing still by the end of this. Jessy was a master at what he did. I love to think of Jessy and Jake worshipping in heaven right now.

This was one Jake Hess's signature songs with the Statesmen. By the time this was filmed he didn't have the stamina and energy to carry the song like Jessy does with such a large choir and auditorium, but it was good that Bill gave him a verse to sing with Jessy.

He didn't pass away days after this, he passed about 10 months after. This was filmed in March of 2003, he died in January of 2004.

Eu Kay: This was videoed at the Potters House in Dallas Texas (2004). It was the cullmenation of a shared dream of Bill Gather and Bishop T D Jakes to bring together artists from black, southern, country, Hispanic, & bluegrass Gospel music in a joint celebration of our Christian heritage. It is captured on two DVD's titled "We Will Stand" & "Build A bridge".
It must have been very early January 2004, because Jake Hess died on January 4, 2004
It was filmed in March of 2003. Both Jake and Vestal Goodman died before the release of this video and its sister video, We Will Stand. Jake and Vestal only died a week apart, Jake of a long case of heart disease and Vestal of pretty much the flu.
