Agreed, not really a complaint, more shock after Helsinki .... public drunkenness Hell, in Australia, we can't even buy Beer in supermarkets/ convenience stores ))
Thanks so much for your kind words I have learnt so much going forward that the troubles i had are the videos i should have been making foresight is a marvellous thing ! Cheers 🍻
Wow, i didn't see any signs around )) Didn't see any public drunkenness like around Helsinki main train station, which is a good thing But i do enjoy a sneaky beer 🍺 with a meal after walking around Cheers 🍻! Mate n thanks for watching ))
@@carryontraveling there aren't signs for most things, especially those tiny fines. Crossing the road on mobile phone for example can get you a small fine, if the police ever care. Drinking beer is the same, if it's a "gang" of people drinking they might care, one older man on a bench they probably just warn you or don't say anything at all.
Luckily, lithuanians figured out that what regresses a person is an alcoholic drink, so any addiction patterns, including alcohol mid day is looked down upon. Lithuania is a very clean country upholding high standards. Sorry, mate, you found the standards too high for you. Cheers 🍷
after spending some time in Helsinki where public drinking is nearly celebrated , I was surprised about the different drinking culture in Estonia , in this video after 25000 + steps I thought I deserved one beer with my meal btw it late after noon and down the stairs people drinkng in cafes ; ) I enjoyed my time in Lithuania I wouldn't change a thing Cheers
@@carryontraveling Public alcohol drinking is banned because we had serious issues back in the day. People don't know how to drink responsibly over here.
My plans were to visit Russia but had visa issues. Lithuania is still much cheaper beer 🍺 than Australia, and we can't buy at a convenience store Thanks for watching 👀

Progressive in some things, conservative in other. I personally like that about the Baltics. They are not insane like some other western countries.

G'day, you could be fined 20-100€ for public alcohol consumtion in LTU. But the way you did it no body minds😀

It is rather expensive in comparison to Russia. Beer prices have just shocked me - 2-3 fold more expensive.
