As a middle aged autistic system it's great to see someone discuss this. We have had several rounds of burnout as well.
Thanks for this video. 💜
Really helpful , thank you. Omg thank you! im gonna show this to my family.
Meltdowns and Burnouts are hard on everyone, but I can see it would be especially difficult on people with autism and/or DID. Thanks for sharing your perspective!
And wow you're getting good at production. The sounds are extremely effective at triggering various feelings....
Brilliant thank you i
Good information but whoever edited the audio did one of the worst jobs I have ever experienced. Sudden screeching, volumes so much louder you can't make out the narration, etc. I've had to stop only 3 minutes in because the extremally over modulated audio effects are driving me into a meltdown.
ua-cam.com/video/CTH3qs6ZjlU/v-deo.html is the link to the sensory friendly version....its meant to be very overwhelming and noisy to replicate what it's like when we get overwhelmed!
Wanted to listen but the sound effects very traumatizing
@marianne7659 we have made a sensory friendly version without sound effects Autistic Friendly Version of Meltdowns, Shutdowns & Burn Out:Autism & Dissociative Identity Disorder

As an autistic system, the information was useful but a lot of the sounds were overwhelming and triggering. Good work with the editing though. I only want to help :) You might wanna turn down the background music a little, make little pauses between the takes, and if you can stick to the same mic. I really appreciate what you do. :)
A clear trigger warning might be useful. I feel like some of the sound effects were deliberate, and probably quite effective at helping more typical people feel just a small touch of the emotions you deal with.
We have now released a version for people who are sound sensitive - thanks for your feedback.
We have now put a trigger warning in and made a version for people triggered by loud sounds. The sound effects in the original are intended to help people understand what the world is like for us.
@@AutisticSelvesthat makes sense, I thought about it like that for a sec and I'm glad that was the purpose
