I agree with what you said Ana Residential areas should remain just that, people who live there shouldn't have to put up with noisy tourists until the early hours of the morning, and allow more local people to have the chance to own or rent a property. This should apply anywhere in the world.
Spain didn't want her tourists a lot of years ago and were very rude ...as a result tourists stopped going ..there was a realisation that tourists were needed and welcomed back..I certainly don't want to give my business were I'm not welcomed. As a frequent visitor I don't think I'll be back ..much as I love Spain and Benidorm especially.
Spain always had tourists, there was never a shortage nor people stopped coming to Spain or Benidorm, it only became busier as years passed

To be fair, the ambulance problem is SPAINS problem, they choose to attend the drunks as they earn more money from them, whereas locals and residents don’t get charged as much as the tourists so thats a problem that the emergency services should be addressing, also British people are put off from benidorm due to being robbed by locals and not being helped by the local police, i had an experience in November where me and my partner was almost mugged, found a police car and they said Sorry call 112. Not helpful in any way. Sorry i normally like your videos but this is placing all the blame on brits when actually we are not made to feel welcome by locals and police and we have very bad experiences with the locals. Sorry again just thought it needed to be mentioned that it’s not ALL brits, the Spanish are just as bad.
Ana, I can understand the frustration of Benidorm residents paying exorbitant rent due to properties targeting the tourists for more rental income for landlords. Il like Benidorm, but if I ever feel unwelcome, then I'd stay away. Tourism brings significant revenue to the local economy, albeit as a consequence some Benidorm residents suffer on the property market. I agree that residential areas residents should not have to suffer from noise pollution . On the other hand, I think tourists don't deliberately cause noise to upset local residents. They are on holiday, enjoying themselves, and there will be loud banter from people it's natural to be expected. How do you balance the rights of local residents and the tourist economy.? The legislators will have to decide hopefully, in a timely manner, the solution for residents and tourism. Great video 👍
Yes i understand the over tourism situation in spain. I do sympathise with the spanish people. We go to spain every year. We enjoyed our stay in albir, althea and Calpe but as there were people protesting about over tourism we went to Greece this year.
We get this in Cornwall UK were people buy up the houses on the market as second homes. 😢
west wales has the same problem and the welsh goverment is trying to persuade 2nd home owners to sell the property by 3x council tax which i am all for

the problem is greed from property owners the tourists have plenty of countries to stay and if you feel unwelcome you stay in a place you are welcome spain needs to sort this out because people vote with their feet

Don’t know how true this is but in British papers it was stating Alicante airport is creaking under the strain of so many tourists. Do you know anything or is it made up? Thank you

Maybe the council should look at the back end of Benidorm, where all the closedown clubs and rundown area should be purchased for the community to build proper quality housing, schools, health centres, leisure centres for locals....Happy locals......Happy tourists.
That area is part of the Levante project, it will all be gone soon

In benidorm, it's by far the Spanish that use the beach. Massively so. I go.4 times a year. So.i no this for certain.
