Pov: It’s a college field trip with you and your friends.. he’s there as well.
The bus is full but students were still coming…
“Woh nhi aa rha shayad…” your friend looked at you apologetically. You slumped in your seat…
But just as the driver was about to move, a voice yelled.
“AIK MINT BHAI!” And then you saw him. Running past your window, breathless.
The driver stopped and he got on. He sat pretty far away but you got a good view of him. Your friend squealed and you swatted at her to quiet her.
Still grinning, you plugged in your earphones and looked out the window, enjoying the scenery and secretly stealing glances at him. He looked ethereal under the golden rays of the sun, accentuating his muscles under the burgundy polo shirt. His black wavy hair contrasting to his green eyes…
Not once did he glance your way throughout the bonfire. Some decided to stay and spend the night in the tents and others could leave if they wanted as the bus was still scheduled to depart.
Sighing in disappointment, you decided to leave. Even though all your friends were staying you suddenly had no interest in staying, and just wanted to be in your room at the moment.
There were a few other people in the bus whom you didn’t know..
“Aur kitni daer rukna hai bhai?” You asked the driver..
“Bus 5 min aur.” He replied.
Grunting you sat in annoyance. You pulled out your phone and started reading a book..
In the mean time, you hadn’t noticed him until he spoke.
“Is this seat taken?”
Your eyes widened. Suddenly your grip on the phone slackened out of nervousness…you looked up so fast you thought your head would’ve come out.
“YES!” You nodded, “NO! I MEAN YES NO IT’S NOT-“ you face palmed your face but he only chuckled.
“I’ll take that as a no.”
You picked your bag and then…he sat. Beside you. You beside him.
Suddenly you were conscious of every thing, the way your skirt might pull up, or maybe the way your hair would stick to your lipgloss…You shook your head to rid the overthinking.
He was looking over at you though, “Ap kuch parh rhi hai?” He smiled. Your heart did a whole sigh at that.
“Umm yeah. Nothing much bs aesay hi.” You felt the heat on your cheeks.
“Are you okay? Your fac-..” his eyes narrowed at your cheeks and you flushed even more.
“Garmi! Shayad garmi ki wajah se.” You spoke before he could finish..in case he caught on.
This time, he grinned. The idiot smiled and your soul screamed.
Out of all the seats, why did he sit with me? You thought…maybe he liked the seat. But still..
You kept on thinking about it throughout the ride but couldn’t make it sense.
At some point, you slept. And when you opened your eyes, there he was again. Grinning at you..
You rubbed your eyes to see properly, but it wasn’t a dream.
“Good morning beautiful!”
“OMG-“ You screamed knowing you just slept on his shoulder. At this, he laughed.
“I’M SO SORRY”
“IT’S ALRIGHT”
“No really! I’m very sorry.”
He simply looked at you and stopped smiling.
“Ap sotay howay pyari lgti hai..tau phir mein kiun uthata?” He winked.
