I had a similar game from History Channel that’s based off of General Patton during WW2. I didn’t finish it, unfortunately, but surprises me that there’s a fair amount of History Channel games out there.
@@smokeybear1597 a simple "history channel games" google search will find you this list www.giantbomb.com/history-channel/3025-1262/games/ though its not all of them mind you as it doesn't mention "Civil war secret missions"
As a civil war reenactor burnside was a moron he sacrificed his men for no reason but I love this mission because it honors the fighting and dying men on both sides and how much they suffered!
At least this shows accurately that early revolvers used black powder and ball ammunition just like a musket. So many people think oh well they had revolvers so they had bullets which wasn't the case.
definitely! I'll just go ahead and repost my update: Despite being an exceptionally low budget game. I think "The History Channel's Civil War A Nation Divided" is a good proof of concept that you can actually have an FPS game set during the civil war, or perhaps any war after the the invention of revolvers in the 19th century. Upon a basic Wikipedia search, revolvers were invented in the 16th century lol. So perhaps we'll see a "Battlefield 1776" where everyone runs around with revolvers just like how everyone runs around with automatics in Battlefield 1 set during WW1 ?
Ngl I find it funny even for a main character, the guy takes like over 30 minie balls to the body and somehow still stands lmao, for real though those things will fuck you up hard
Would be interesting to see a COD about napileonic wars. I want to say, if we are watching this gameplay of an FPS about USA civil war,why not a FPS about napileonic wars?
There need to be more US Civil War games, both RTS & FPS. There are way too many set during WWII; and even those focus too much on the European theatre. We need more set in the Pacific.
@@reymartmaquiling5828 maybe even have an Axis campaign. It doesn't have to be an alt-history type, just have it be battles that they won. Like how this game has you play in battles that the Confederates won.
More fps’ need to cover the civil war. If we could have war of rights with a campaign for both sides and experiences all the different fronts that would be a amazing work of art
Apologies for the lag during cutscenes, the game is old but also super cheaply made
Welp, it’s a History Channel game XD
Can you do all missions?
@@Prmanzon yeah if these videos keep getting a not embarrassing amount of views, I'll keep uploading them ;)
Ok
Where can i download this game?

Now, I don't think Burnside was any kind of military genius, but he didn't want command of the Army to begin with.

Imagine if this along with Napoleonic war and other wars of 1800s adapted into Call of Duty, Medal of Honor or Battlefield.
would be pretty cool to imagine modern shiny AAA graphics and animations in this setting, like storming an old fort in the rain with revolvers.
Or realistic blood and Gore LOL

There’s a game called ‘War of Rights’ that is doing the Civil War theme. I think it’s still in early access though.

as a resident of Richmond va I loved this game as a kid because it felt so close to home and coincided with what I was learning in school

This game is same like Battlefield 1.
Yo this game is trash . I cant believe history channel made games.
I've seen better civil war combat replicated in red dead 2 using mods.
