Same man, I don’t know your age, but for me coming out of my teens when this album dropped brings back so many good memories of listening to this album
My rankings would be: 1. Recovery (2010)(This was the first Eminem album I listened to. The first ever Eminem song I listened to was “Not Afraid” with my older brother and older cousin when they were in high school and I was just a 8 year old kid (year 3 in the uk). “Not Afraid” is my favourite song of all time. I remember the first time I listened to it I was jumping with enjoyment. I haven’t had that in a while. 2. The Eminem Show (2002) (I really really like this album and I prefer it over the MMLP) 3. MMLP (2000) 4. Encore (2004) 5. MMLP2 (2013) 6. Kamikaze (2018) 7. Relapse (2009) 8. Revival (2017) - A lot of people don’t like the album but I think it’s alright. Yes SSLP is better nostalgically but there was a lot of weird tracks on that album like “Cum on Everybody” 😭 9. Music to be murdered by SIDE A (2020) 10. SSLP (1999) 11. Music to be murdered by side B (2020)
Fun fact: Before Eminem and Kendrick Lamar made this song. Kendrick Lamar was killing it. Eminem thought his lyrics was so talented but didn’t believe he was the one writing the raps. He didn’t think anyone was that talented as a rapper from this generation which is understandable. In other words, Eminem thought he had a ghostwriter. So one day Eminem called Kendrick and said he wanted him to meet up in the studio. Kendrick Lamar came in with his crew. Eminem said kicked out the crew and asked Kendrick Lamar if he can write a verse for him. Kendrick replied with “Hell yeah I can write a verse ”. Kendrick Lamar writes the verse. Eminem then said to Kendrick Lamar “I wanted to see if it was you who was really writing those raps”. Eminem was impressed. A few years later came by and Eminem wanted Kendrick Lamar on the Super Bowl with him. Eminem said in the interview that Kendrick Lamar believes he is the most electrifying rapper of our generation (Alongside with J Cole) and he also believes that Kendrick Lamar is at the very top tier of lyricists, not just off this generation but of all time.
U know damn well Kim & Sherane both heard this & slept in for the next three months in complete tears & woke up & became actual better ppl afterwards 😂😂😂 Theres no way possible ur going to answer to the goat Libra ♎ & goat Gemini ♊ together on any track!!!!! Libras & Gemini are literally the only people that can do something this off the wall crazy & literally throw it all on the line & then say fuck it literally faster than falling in love wit a person!!!!! We all in at the beginning but then get bored asf if u can't keep it interesting enough for us to care😂😂😂💯
I love this album even if it doesnt always sound like "rap", fusion of rap and rock is cool in my opinion. Kendrick verse is better than Em's first verse but I think he was left behind on the second verse, wish we had more collabs between them. Check J Cole's collab with Royce, it's a fire song called "BobLo Boat", storytelling at it's finest, with nice schemes.
Was up brotha love ya reactions and if you have time I got a few songs you would prolly wanna check out and FYI this will b the SHADY Era not Eminem. Some of my favs and they are 1. Low Down and Dirty (Explicit) 2. When Hell Freezes Over (Explicit) 3. Demons Inside (Explicit) P.S #3 Is a real short track but it's definitely some SHOCK FACTOR SHADY SHIT bruh. When I heard it I was like Dame wat all are you on bro.
A lot of people didn’t like this album but it brings back a lot of good memories for me so it’s top 3 in my book
