I needed this today. "You will never forget a person who came to you with a torch in the dark." Thank you for burning so bright. Thank you for holding on when you were lost in your own seemingly eternal night...you are now lighting the way for so many. You make a difference every single day. I wish you peace. May you be well, may you be happy, may you be surrounded by love, may you move through life with ease. Thank you. 🥰💗
Thank you so much for sharing. I share a very similar story to yours, and am on my healing journey. You are helping to save lives for those of us who are trying to grasp onto any hope that there will be joy after a lifetime of repeated trauma.
What a beautiful rendition of this Tracy Chapman song at the end of this video. Wondering if Allison Russell has ever met Tracy Chapman. I bet Tracy Chapman loves Allison's rendition.
I can't believe I'm just now learning about Allison's life and career. I now realize that I met her when she was a newborn in Montreal in 1979 through her mother who I knew from high school. I never heard till now what horrors she went through during the 80s at the hands of her step father.
Wish there was a love button. You are healing people Allison 💛

What a heartbreaking childhood. What a phoenix rising from the ashes.
