I don't care if they have faults, they are lovely dogs regardless.

The dog at 4.10 is a perfect staff example imo.

Great videos if you are showing and breeding the dog. Love seeing good examples of the breed. Too many people are breeding colours (blue) these days instead of looking at the standard.

I have rescued, raised & trained pit bull type dogs for decades and I now rescue & train my own service dogs. My first service dog was a very large Am Staff mix, Bekah, I'll love her 4ever. Current partner is adorable Phoebe, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, she owns my heart! From beginning, have used harnesses on my dogs; they are so strong that if they pull hard on collar, they can damage their throat/neck - even cause blindness due to impaired circulation. I hate to see these strong dogs choking!

I had a perfect specimen of a mix,.. Jake was Staffordshire, and German Shepard. He was snipped at 6 mos. And has The Best dog I've ever raised.... with a bullbody, and Sheppard markings...he was Perfect for a mixed perfect breed. He was a great Dog. I miss him very much.

this video appears to be more oriented on the "how to choke your dog" side of things than the "how the dog should look like" , isn't it?

Its funny that this guy is describing my staffie to the tee, everytime he says, this dog is correct.. :)

I have a 2 year old Brindle Female, about 40lbs, semi - wht chest, wonderful, friendly, excellent temperment/w my grandkids. She is NOT fond of dogs and will NOT back down from confrontation from any dog, any SIZE. 328psi jaw strength, more than most LARGE dogs, twice her size. she is PROTECTIVE, and a Gift straight from GOD. (Which is DOG spelled backwards) BEST dog breed in the WORLD. period.

If you forget about the standard when breeding you lose the breed. The commentator isnt saying get rid of your dog, its about what to consider for the breed if you are breeding and showing.

The SBT at :58 looks so much like my late companion, Spanky (pic). I miss him a great deal, he was a very good boy.

Right, the perfect staffie should be judged more on what he can do rather than what he looks like. He was after all originally a working dog breed. I wonder how many of these people that dress up like they're off to a wedding, that cart their dogs around show rings even care for the history of the breed, or are even interested in maintaining working dog abilities by getting working tittles for their dogs. My guess is not a lot, sadly!

People who show their dogs will be totally aware of the history behind the breed. Staffies are not 'working' dogs. Apart from being used for 'vermin' control many years ago. Bull baiting and fighting were not 'work', they were examples of cruel and barbaric practices the breed was used for in bygone days.

This is fault in breed, not the dog. If there is a fault he just probably not going to be used for breeding.
