Love how you showed us how to easily make this layout into a 12X12 layout !!!
That is such a cool "trick" to sand the edges of the photo--it really makes the photo pop with the dark background.
Thank you I am glad you liked that little tip. I used to sand all my photo edges until I started printing with a white border.

I totally agree about Christmas gifts when you get older. That's why someone in my family gets a scrapbook every Christmas. Usually it's my brother because he is the hardest to buy for!

I hate gnomes. I didn't use to have any feelings at all towards them, but now they're on everything, everywhere, and I'm sick to death of seeing them. Like the "little red truck" which is STILL on everything everywhere, add nauseum. Thank you for pasting the gnomes underside! 😁
You are cracking me up, I do not dislike them but the gnome trend could take a rest for a season or two and I think everyone would be okay with that.
I’ve never scrapped anything but 12 x 12 and you have given me other options by being varied and creative.
I do love 12x12 but the 6x8 has been fun for different occasions.
Super cute layout! I love how you sanded the photos for a little pop of white. I have never done that before…I need to tuck that idea away to try!
Ive done that before..... I see Erin holds hers in the air. I put mine on the edge of my table and happly sanded the whole picture like that.... when I picked it up the whole phot had scratches on them almost 1cm in from all the sides😢

Oh no, I hope they were not totally ruined. It does give you more control to hold them up and use a small nail file rather than a sanding block.

My sister has FIVE boys. I well know how they hate to have their pictures taken.
LOL, I do tell them they are both my favorite. It is so funny you mention that, I was feeling like everything was about Clayton for awhile so I was making an effort to document Hayden. I am finding myself with more current pictures of Hayden because of his girlfriend, girlfriends are excellent for getting pictures 😂
Im also laughing at this. You would think my daughter is my favourite when you look at my scrpabooks, but its because my son hates taking pictures.😂

Yeah I’m making a 12x12 album for my 4 grandchildren, I started just doing pages on all of them to but In a book for me but they escalated into too many pages to go into one album just for me so I decided I would make for an Albums and that would be make a great Christmas present. I’m excited I hope they will like it. Thanks for sharing your layout today is really cute and congratulations on your Triple Crown I heard all about that too.! ❤

I love the idea of doing a scrapbook as a gift. I think maybe doing a 6x8 album would be a nice way for me to try out the CTMH albums, as I haven't made that transition yet (from the Creative Memories albums).
I have a few CM albums but they are super old when they were not a true 12x12 size, I imagine they are different now. The 6x8 albums are nice but different from the CTMH post bound 12x12.

What die cut machine do you use? Do you use more than one?
Hello Nancy, I am currently using the Gemini Junior electric die cutting machine and it works well. I had a spellbinders platinum 6 before this one and liked it but I wanted an electric model.
