Hi the first time watching your video scarps can become overwhelming and the scrap pile never seems to go down love your wonky star you had me smiling coming from southern Ontario Canada 🇨🇦

Thanks for joining from Canada! The scraps do go done in size as you’re using them. But, you will get them used up.

I just found you and enjoyed hearing your thought process. I get bored easily, too, and having several projects organized and ready to go is such a great idea. Thank you!

I love you Wonky Star. Thank you Sheri, loving your video. I think I work like you. Always a side project on the go. The little roller cutter is the best investment I have made for chain piecing cutting.

    Very clever!
Have you got enough strips for your own jelly roll? Enough of the same strip for bindings or smal borders. Enough baby print charm squares to make 1 or more kits up? Do you cut your own pre-cut sizes? Do you have selvedge free, 10" or 5" strips cut to cut layer cakes or charm squares from, a fat q will make 2 LC's and 4CS, each with a half JR strip on the side maybe. And more scraps. Cut up a few each day, and you might be able to give a home cut scrappy kit to friends? If you get down to unused, or not so pretty fq's, you could break 'em down into the strips, and cut what you need later? Do you have backings, could you use scraps to make them, do you pre-cut solids for hst's?. Do you put them with their quilt kits? Write notes to self, where is the pattern, have you got everything in there? Tick it off as you get it in the kit? Grab and sew up, when you want something mindless to sew, or you need a quilt quickly. Do you have enough project buckets, totes, can you frame your orphan blocks bigger to fit a guilt with larger blocks? Line them for tote pockets? Do you have design boards, make a design wall over a curtain/rod? Use tacks, to hang some batting? Make boards with cards, batting and binding scraps. You can lay blocks for a whole top on one board. Done the top, put a new top on it. Do you have a big one for on your scrap bin? Put it on top for later when you've finished for the day? 4-patches go with alt 4 1/2" squares. Have you seen potato chip blocks?
Do you have a snuggle kit? A tote with a quilt, cushion, and all the bits for hand sewing, reading patterns, books or movie nights etc,? Hot or cold bowl cosies, glasses case etc. Mug rug...

Loved your video and seeing your process of using up scraps. I need to get some of that done too. I have tubs of scraps, orphan blocks and charms squares I have cut for future use. Right now I am doing some Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) and putting some of those scraps to use.
As far as what I would like to see you do, I hear this is the year of scrappy projects so I would be interested in seeing anything scrappy. Blessings, Andrea, aka, Mama J.
